Chapter 1858
Of course, it was not safe to keep a girl waiting alone for several hours. Besides, Trevor was unsure about the exact traveling
time. So, he had the pilot take the plane to pick up his daughter first, and he would catch a later commercial flight after obtaining
the information.
So, they parted ways at the airport. Trevor took a cab to meet his friend while the pilot and copilot flew the plane loaded with
supplies back to Rivera.
When Trevor got what he wanted and went back to the airport, it had already been three hours. Then, he booked the earliest
flight back to Rivera.
The private plane crashed into the sea five hours after taking off. At that time, Trevor was still on the other commercial flight
without any phone signal, so he did not know about the accident. He slept for a few hours on the plane, which had just landed
long ago.
As soon as he disembarked, he called Stella. The flight arrived earlier than expected, so he wanted to tell her not to come and
pick him up. However, he did not expect his family to think that he was on the crashed plane. Therefore, he had no idea why
Stella broke down after hearing his voice.
After the private plane landed in Mystonia, it was thoroughly inspected; there were no issues before taking off. He could not
figure out why the plane ended in a crash.
When Trevor thought of his purpose of going to Mystonia this time, his heart sank.
It took Stella some time to finally recollect herself, "Trevor, I'll go to the airport to pick you up now. Look for Dad and Keegan at
the airport; they were about to fly to Mystonia to find you."
"Okay," Trevor said. "Be careful while driving. Well talk again when we meet.”
"Sure," Stella said. She called out to Trevor before hanging up, "Trevor."
Trevor paused.
Stella's voice was still hoarse as she said softly, "Please let us know in advance if you're changing your flight. Don't make us
worry."
Trevor's heart softened, "Got it. I will next time."
Through the airport broadcast, Trevor quickly found Keegan and Wenham, who were about to board the plane.
When Wenham heard his son's voice through the loudspeaker, he thought he was imagining things. His anxious mood only
subsided a little until he finally saw Trevor in person.
As Trevor walked over, Wenham raised his suitcase and smacked him on the butt, scolding, "Stupid kid! Why didn't you call us to
let us know that you're safe? You're such an idiot! You made us so worried!"
Trevor, a grown man, being scolded by his father at the airport with Keegan watching, instantly felt extremely embarrassed.
He gritted his teeth and said, "You're the one who thought I was on that plane. How is this my fault?"
Keegan watched their interactions for a while before finally speaking up, "Uncle Wenham, you can beat him up later at home.
There are so many people watching. Let's not embarrass him."
Trevor's lip twitched, "Are you hearing yourself?"
Keegan replied seriously, "Your father is only doing this because he loves you. Please be understanding."
Easy for you to say because you're not the one getting smack!' Trevor thought to himself.
Of course, Wenham did not hit him hard. He was just too worried. Although he was usually strict with Trevor, he was his and his
wife’s first child. How could he not be worried?
So, after hitting him twice, he stopped. Then, he hugged Trevor so tightly that even his fingers were trembling.
Trevor's body stiffened. It took him a while to relax.
After Freesia passed away, Wenham had been in a slump for a long time. He had not hugged him like this for a long time,
especially after he grew up. They would not even talk about personal matters with one another as they felt they had a tacit
understanding.
However, even fatherly love needed to be expressed.
Trevor patted Wenham's shoulder, sighed, and said in a low voice, "Everything's okay now. I'm back now, right?"
