Chapter 303
Stella was asleep when Keegan came back. Only a warm yellow lamp was left in the room. He took off his coat, threw it on the
couch, walked to the bedside, and sat down.
Stella could feel Keegan’s gaze, even though her back was facing him. She frowned and was a little irritable.
A faint smell of perfume wafted from Keegan’s body. It was the same scent as Bella’s. Stella recalled some unpleasant past
memories because she had just chatted with Marshall just now. She was already irritable, but she became even more irritable
when she smelled that scent on Keegan’s body, ‘Damn it. Why don’t you wash up instead of just sitting on the bedside and
staring at me? It’s annoying! Stella cursed inwardly.
After an unknown time, Keegan threw off the quilt and held her wrist. When Stella was about to withdraw her hand, he gently
applied a cool liquid on her wrist with his palm.
Stella was startled for a moment. Then, she withdrew her hand.
Keegan seemed to know that she was awake. When he saw that she withdrew her hand, he said. flatly, “Are you done
pretending to be asleep?”
Stella gritted her teeth. “Why would I pretend? I can’t sleep if you’re roughing up here, can I?”
The corner of Keegan’s mouth twitched. “I’m applying the medicine on you! You don’t know chalk from cheese!”
Stella snorted. “My injury has already healed for a long time, even before your medicine is here.”
Keegan was left speechless. Then, he saw an ointment on the bedside table, which was the same as the one in his hand. He
frowned and asked, “Did you go to the doctor?”
“No.” Stella wrapped herself in the quilt tightly. “Mr. Moore brought it here.”
Keegan’s eyes darkened. “Why did he give you the medicine?”
Those words made Stella laugh angrily. “Didn’t you visit Ms. Young too? What’s wrong? You can show your love and concern for
others, but others can’t show it to me?”
Keegan’s face darkened even more. “Do you think you’re right for pushing someone into the water?”
Stella paused and looked at him. “Bella told you that I pushed her?”
Keegan said nothing.
Bella had never said anything. However, not only Mrs. Chapman, but several people on the ship saw Stella kick Bella at that
time.
Seeing that he remained silent, Stella twitched the corners of her mouth with a smirk. “Turns out, you came back to vent her
anger on me. You’re right. I pushed her. Oh, technically, I kicked her.”
Keegan frowned. “Why did you do that?”
“No reason. I want to make her sick. I hate her. Are these reasons good enough?”
“What kind of attitude is that?” Keegan then said furiously, “Do you know you have to face a lawsuit if someone on the ship blows
your cover just now!”
Stella sneered. “Are you saying you went to Bella and asked her not to sue me? Should I be thankful to you all?”
“Stella!”
“Stop preaching to me. It’s none of your business. I don’t want to accept your favor either. Let Bella sue me if she has the ability.
If I chicken out, I’ll change my surname to hers!”
Keegan was furious. He gritted his teeth and said, “You! I should have left. you alone!” ‘What the hell am I doing? I asked
someone to edit out the footage and thought about her injury. I purposely asked someone for the medicine for her. In the end,
she didn’t even think of my good deed and kept saying things to make me angry, Keegan thought.
Stella rolled up the quilt. “No one asked you to care for me. If you want to vent her anger on me, kick me into the water. If not,
stop disturbing my sleep.” She put on the blindfold while she spoke and stopped looking at him.
Keegan was filled with anger. He slammed the door and left.
Stella did not care where he went to sleep. She did not even care if he went to Bella and slept together. Stella thought she could
not sleep at night as she slept a lot during the day. However, she dozed off soon after Keegan had left. ‘Keegan is really a bane
in my existence. Even my sleep quality improved without him,’ Stella thought.
However, the peace lasted for only two hours. Suddenly, they encountered a storm at night. There were thunderstorms outside,
and the waves made the cruise ship sway.
Stella was awake from the sway.
The things in the room moved around with the swaying of the cruise ship. The items on the table were shaken and fell to the
ground. There was a reminder on the broadcast. It asked everyone to close the doors and windows, put on the life jackets, stay
in the safety seats, and fasten their seat belts.
Stella was worried about her great-grandpa. So, she put on her coat and wanted to go out to have a look.
Before reaching the door, the power suddenly went off. The room was plunged into total darkness.
Stella took her phone out for light. However, the ship swayed abruptly. She staggered, and her knee hit the table. She felt a
terrible pain and loosened her grip. The phone fell to the ground, turned on protection mode, and shut down immediately.
The room was plunged into total darkness again.
Stella had yet to find the safety seat. She was like duckweed. No matter where the water swayed, she followed Finally, she
caught the leg of the safety seat when she fell for the last time without knowing how many times she had bumped into things
repeatedly She kneeled on the ground and held it tightly
The rain whipped the glass and made a dense noise There were a few sounds like the roar of some creature from time to time,
which seemed terrifying in the dark room.
Stella’s palms were full of cold sweat, and her face was pale.
The cabin door was pushed open at that moment, and a lightning bolt split the night sky.
Stella looked up and saw a figure appearing at the door. Her nose twitched, and she shouted hoarsely, “Keegan.”
