Chapter 501
1/1
A lot could happen in a short period of time.
During their voyage, Yerick Baker made a phone call to Joshua. The message was simple: there was a place Joshua needed to
po, and once there, someone would lead him to Cynthia. This was something Cynthia remained oblivious to.
Cynthia had stayed aboard the ship, intent on exploring its entirety during their journey. However, Yerick quickly put an end to
that intention. As another day passed, they found themselves merely five minutes away from Queneska Island. It was then that
Yerick’s men blindfolded Cynthia and Jayleen.
Slowly, the ship approached and docked at Queneska Island. If Cynthia had been able to see, she would have spotted an array
of large signal-jamming towers and menacing figures clad in black, all armed to the teeth. They had the island on complete
lockdown. Regrettably, Cynthia was unaware of all this. She did not realize that the danger she was about to face was far greater
than she could ever imagine, nor did she know that Verick had truly lost his sanity.
When the ship docked at Queneska Island, Cynthia and Jayleen were escorted off. Slowly, the other passengers also began to
disembark until only Yerick and Nadia remained aboard. Yerick stood on the deck, looking at a nearby yacht. He spoke to Nadia,
“Regardless of what you hear, do not retum
His words prompted Nadia to ask, “What are you planning to do?” She had never seen him like this before.
**To end all my affairs with Joshua. In any case, if you wish to survive, do not return. I might not be able to control what happens
here,” Yerick responded, the comers of his hips upturned in a slight
Nadia’s brow furrowed at his words. Yerick gestured for her to leave on the yacht. Although Nadia did not insist on staying. she
did grab her laptop before leaving the ship, just before she left, she asked, “And what if Joshua no longer loves Cynthia? What is
your plan then?”
“If that’s the case, III kidnap his entire family.” Yerick’s voice was ice-cold, his expression oddly gentle. “Let him watch his loved
ones die before him, one by one.”
He found himself somewhat regretful at that moment. He should have taken Joshua’s entire family when he first divorced.
It would have provided him with much more satisfaction
“You really are a madman,” Nadia critiqued him.
Yerick laughed. “Aren’t you the same?”
“I’m leaving.” Nadia did not respond to his statement, merely waved her hand in dismissal before boarding the yacht to leave.
Yerick was right. They were both mad. However, her madness, her obsession, was cured when she met ‘K’. Now, she was
carefree or heartless, depending on who you asked. She was willing to abandon anyone and anything except herselt. Even now,
knowing the danger of Queneska Island, she left without taking Cynthia with her.
It was nine-thirty in the morning in Nexuria, which was in the same time zone as Queneska Island. From the moment Cynthia
was blindfolded and led off the ship, she had been making m ental notes of her surroundings. She deduced from the wind on her
face and the sounds of waves crashing against rocks that she was standing on the edge of a cliff.
Indeed, the reality of the situation was exactly as Cynilla had deduced. The entourage of bodyguards led her and Jayleen to the
highest cliff on Queneska Island. Upon their arrival, the black cloths that had been obscuring their vision were finally removed.
As her sight returned, Cynthida took in the scene before her. The sight of armed guards standing watch snapped her attention to
her surroundings. Only then did she grasp the true gradty of the situation. thueneska Iskund was on back down. Men clad in
black, each one carrying a firearm, were spread out all over. There were so many she could not possibly count them all
