My Rich Hot and Infertile or Maybe Not Husband

Chapter 513
She gritted her teeth and said angrily. “It’s really hard to get a chance to talk to you.”
Liam glanced at her, “Do you have a matter that needs to be resolved here?”
Skyler said with a straight face. “Your uncle’s company is in trouble. Why don’t you help?”
Owen raised an eyebrow at this question.
The Barlow family’s business was none of the Reed family’s concern, and it was unusual for Skyler to demand help from her
husband’s family with such righteousness.
Liam glanced at her, “Do you know why the Barlow family’s production line was shut down?*
Skyler frowned, “Isn’t it just because of fire safety issues? Is it that serious? Aren’t you familiar with government officials? Just
give them a heads up, and it’ll be fine.”
Liam said gravely. “Their workshop’s emergency exits were blocked with flammable and explosive materials, which aren’t even
allowed in their production line. If those materials ignited, have you thought about the consequences for the workers? Who would
take responsibility if something happened?”
Skyler didn’t take in any of this information, as she only cared about herself and the Barlow family. So when she heard Liam say
this, she immediately said, “But nothing happened, right? Can’t we just get the production line back first and then make the
necessary changes? Who doesn’t make mistakes? Once I find out who reported this behind our backs, I won’t let them off the
hook!”
“Really?” Liam raised an eyebrow, “It was me who reported it.”
Skyler froze, “What did you say?”
“I said I reported the fire safety issues in the Barlow family’s production line.”
Skyler’s expression went from shock to disbelief to hatred. She gritted her teeth and said, “Why would you do this? Weren’t your
uncle and aunt good to you? Do you have no conscience?!”

Liam looked at her with a piercing gaze, “No special reason, I just wanted you to taste what it feels like when a family member is
ruined.” Skyler was stunned for a few seconds, finally realizing that Liam was avenging Celeste.
She said with an unhappy face, “You’re the one who got divorced, and now you’re blaming me?”
Liam pursed his lips, “I’ll take responsibility for my mistakes, but you should take responsibility for yours too.” He continued, “If
you think the Barlow family has been wronged, you can move back in with them. I’ll explain things to Grandma.”
Skyler’s face turned pale, and she looked at Liam as if he were a stranger.
She gritted her teeth and said, “Liam, have you gone mad? All this for a woman? How could you do this to your own mother?”
“My own mother?” Liam scoffed, “My own mother, when I couldn’t get out of bed after being put under general anesthesia for
surgery, was disgusted by helping the nurse turn me over. How should I thank you?”
Liam didn’t like bringing up the past. He didn’t like getting caught up in past events because they didn’t make people happy.
When you hurt others with painful memories, you don’t bring joy to yourself either.
In high school, Liam had a spinal injury due to an accident and needed surgery for repositioning.
The surgery was done under general anesthesia, and he couldn’t get out of bed for a whole week with a catheter inserted.
At that time, eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom were all done in bed, relying on the caregivers to take care of him.
Being sick is like losing his dignity, It’s embarrassing, but he can’t move, so he just gotta let others take control of his body.
The first day after his surgery, he was out like a light and did nothing but snooze all day. The second day, the pain was so bad
that it kept him up all night.
Sienna was worried that the caregivers might be a bit careless and that Liam might have some issues he didn’t feel comfortable
talking to them about. So she asked Skyler to keep him company.
The surgery for his spine left a wound on his back, and the post–op swelling of the nerves had him feeling all numb and stuff. Not
to mention the pain shooting down both his legs.
The doc made sure to remind the caregivers and family to help him turn over every hour and prop up his waist with a cushion.
That way, he’d feel at least a little more comfortable.
