Chapter 884
At that moment, Mrs. Kelley was engaged in a conversation with her friends, Spotting Skyler’s incoming call, she chose to ignore
it, silencing her phone and placing it face down on the table.
Curiosity got the better of her friends, and they inquired, “Aren’t you going to answer that?”
With an expressionless face, Mrs. Kelley replied, “Just telemarketers, they’re so bothersome”
Celeste and Liam both had blood tests, thankfully the drug content was normal and didn’t cause any harm to their bodies.
The doctor advised them to drink more water in the next few days to speed up their metabolism
The OB–GYN specialist Liam had contacted also arrived, and gave Celeste a number of tests for a comprehensive check–up
Liam stayed with her throughout the process
When they were doing the ultrasound, Celeste was a bit nervous, but seeing Liam’s more anxious face, she suddenly found it
funny
She joked, “Why don’t you get checked too, to make sure you don’t have any problems. What if I’m okay and then you have a
problem?”
Liam replied, “Do you want me to have a problem?”
Celeste laughed for a while, “When I used to hate you, yeah, I did.”
Liam was speechless. “No need to curse yourself like that.”
The medical staff overheard their conversation and exchanged strange but comforting looks.
Despite their #narky demeanor, the couple seemed to live harmoniously
Once the check–up was over, they patiently waited for around thirty minutes until the doctor finally called them in.
Celeste initially wanted to enter the room alone, but Liam had already taken her hand and guided her inside.
Without protesting, she followed Liam obediently into the consultation room,
The doctor, a middle–aged woman in her fifties with an average build and glasses, had a kind and gentle appearance
After reviewing the report and observing Celeste’s complexion, the doctor began asking numerous detailed questions.
Like whether her menstrual cycle was regular, the duration and flow of her periods, the color, etc.
Celeste answered all of them.
The doctor was making notes and asked, “How often do you two have sex?”
Celeste hesitated, then said quietly. “Maybe once every few months.”
The doctor asked, “Are you experiencing a decrease in sexual desire, or unwilling to have sex?”
Celeste didn’t say anything. “I’ve recently gotten divorced.”
The doctor asked, “What about before the divorce? How often then?”
Celeste was silent for a few seconds, “The same.”
The doctor asked. “So, you had symptoms of sexual coldness before the divorce?”
Celeste didn’t say anything.
Liam finally spoke, “It was my issue before.”
The doctor was surprised, “Both of you have issues?”
Liam didn’t say anything
Liam said, “She had a car accident before, her womb was damaged, and the doctor said she had a high risk of miscarriage, so I
didn’t want her to get pregnant, so we didn’t have sex very often”
The doctor asked, “So, you’re not against having sex, right?”
Celeste said somewhat reluctantly, “Yes”
The doctor asked again, “Do you experience any pain or dryness during sex?”
Celeste was taken aback, wondering if the doctor’s question was overly detailed.
Feeling quite embarrassed, Celeste deflected the question to Liam, saying, “You answer that.”
Liam happily took on the task, replying, “Initially, there might be some discomfort, but with proper preparation, it improves
significantly. However, she’s never complained about pain. By the way, does post–coital leg and back pain count?”
Celeste blushed intensely, glaring at him in anger. “Are you out of your mind?” she snapped
Liam innocently responded, “The doctor needs to know everything, so I thought I should be honest!”
The doctor glanced at the couple, letting out a small chuckle before jotting down her diagnosis.
Seeing the doctor’s silence, Celeste asked softly. “Doctor, is there a cure for my condition?”
Without looking up, the doctor replied, “Premature ovarian failure is irreversible.”
