Shawn furrowed his brows, “What’s with the pregnancy test in the bathroom?”
Lucilla kept her mouth shut.
Shawn frowned, “I’m asking you, what’s going on?”
Lucilla’s eyes welled up, she mumbled, “I’m not sure, I’ve been feeling sick lately, and a coworker asked if I was pregnant. I was
scared, sol bought a test...”
“I didn’t expect this...” she cried, her face streaked with tears, “Mr. Campbell I’m scared.”
Shawn watched her teary–eyed, his heart pounding
She looked just like Caitlyn did when she cried back in school. It softened his heart.
Would they be where they were now if Caitlyn had depended on him like this girl does? He loved her the most, so why did she
betray him?
Shawn hugged Lucilla tightly and patted her shoulder gently, “Don’t worry, let’s go to the hospital and have a check–up. If you are
pregnant, we’ll have the baby.”
“How can I have a baby? You have a wife, how can I raise a child? I don’t want to be labelled as a home–wrecker, I don’t want
my child to be born
out of wedlock.”
This put Shawn in a tough spot
Helen was also pregnant, and if he let Lucilla keep the baby, Helen would throw a fit. But he didn’t want Lucilla to have an
abortion either
With Lucilla looking so much like Caitlyn, this child seemed like a chance to fill the void of not having a child with Caitlyn.
Lucilla looked at Shawn, sobbing softly, “Mr. Campbell, I know where I stand, and I never thought I could keep this baby, I’m just
scared of the operation, I don’t want to put you in a difficult spot.”

Shawn’s heart softened.
He held Lucilla and comforted her gently, “Just give me some time to think. Let’s get you checked out first, confirm if you’re
pregnant.”
Lucilla nodded obediently, snuggling into Shawn’s arms and whispered, “I wonder if it’s a boy or a girl.”
Shawn blinked but didn’t answer.
Celeste returned to the set after a day off
