Jin's orders were clear as day the moment his subjects in the room heard about this conversation between him and the high noble from Ends. He did not want peace with them at all mainly because the Southern Kingdom Alliance had deliberately ignored his warning, rejected his olive branch for help and even wanted to assault his kingdom with all their might.
But now that they were facing with the crisis, they dared to request help from him.
All those pictures of the destroyed cities and towns that Jin had shown to the high noble was practically the a multi facet answer to him. Ress had offered aid at their 'lowest point' after the war against the enemies that descended from the skies and their refusal had caused their own self destruction.
Perhaps if the high noble was not selfish, and decided to continue to press to ask for help. Jin might reconsider a little. After all, he swallowed his pride and threw everything down that would cause him to lose face just to request for help from the King of Ress. However, the high noble did not despite his title from Ends.
He quietly accepted the fate that Jin had thrown to him and all the King could do was to sigh. The fantasies about honourable nobles within his mind were all thrown into the bin when he saw the attitude of the high noble. Yet, if there is any credit given to a particular person, that would be the fact he had decided to risk everything which he and his family consider normal to come to Ress.
In fact, everyone who decided to flee north was expecting certain death or even punishment. They all believed that they would rather suffer in chains than die mindlessly in the fight against such an unbeatable force.
Still, it was disheartening to see that the high noble had made such a choice as Jin returned to his office to finally start the fight against the Kingdom of Ends. There were still two more Demon Hordes that were two days away from the Ends but Jin figured that they should end it as soon as possible.
Through this conquest, Jin found out that there were quite a lot of things to handle even though they were quickly resolved with the help of the System. At first, he thought that it would be the same as fighting the Demon Rats in the Northern Region of the Farming World. Just dispatch various troops to different towns. Get it down and reconverge to the capital of the Northern Region. Just that, instead of a group of troops, it would be a demon horde- It's just numbers, right?
It was only in action that Jin found out that there were trouble moving massive number of troops and equipment through the unfamiliar territory as well as the rough winter. Surely, Jin could somehow 'manipulate' the weather through the use of magic and mages of his own but such powers could not be used against mother nature herself indefinitely.
The only benefit that came out from this is that there were quite a number of leaders within the demon horde that had been through winter wars and while they did say that it was not impossible to fight in the cold, it would definitely be an experience for those who never did. That was also why the Demon Horde was progressingly slowly not for show.

The Demon Horde's only luxury is that they have access to an unlimited amount of food and medical supplies on their hand, courtesy of the System. Without that, the horde and Jin's newly inducted minions into a winter campaign would not have worked.
But now that most of the Demon Horde is already near the gates of the Capital of Ends, the Southern Kingdom soldiers were terrified. They have to fight on a snowy day where movement is extremely uncomfortable for them whereas the monsters have more legs than them to ensure that they do not get caught in the snow.
However, the disadvantage in terms of numbers of the Southern Kingdom Soldiers would contribute to the downfall during the fight against the Demon Horde. When they saw the Demon Horde continuously expanding their lines while they await their commander orders made them feel like there was no hope in fighting at all.
Yet at the same time, they knew that there was no where to run. In this heavy snow terrain, how far could they run? They would either die being called a traitor or they would die a senseless death against the Demons. Most would definitely choose the latter to protect whatever honour they could have as a human.
The only thing they can hope is that their death would eventually mean something especially to those that were outside the walls, hidden behind the makeshift barricades in hopes to stop as many Demons as possible.
But all of those were their wishful thinking.
Even the King of Ends could see that this was something that the humans could never win when he saw that the Demon Horde's numbers were not stopping along the horizon with just his naked eye.
There were still more coming out through the slight snowy fog from a distance. He then wondered if it was worth defending the last bastion of humanity within the Southern Kingdom Alliance or just swallowing his pride and asking Ress for help even though he had pointed his spears and swords right at them.
"Your Majesty, even the generals are saying that it is difficult to keep the morale up. Everyone knows that this is a futile struggle that would only lead to the annihilation of the Ends. We will truly be the end of Ends." His royal advisor attempted to persuade his dear friend to listen to reason, swallow his pride and ask for help.
The royal advisor even prepared the magic crystal for communication and requested his King to just try once before the Demon Horde took action. However, when that thought of wanting to request for help is still lingering in his mind, there is a long foghorn sound coming from the southern walls of Ends.
The ground shakes with every synchronised step, the air flutters after every breath. Their heart beats ever so faster with each second. There was no way out for the humans especially when they are surrounded by them.
The Demon Hordes had finally made their move.
