He gazed at the scene in the hotel's square, his brow furrowing in concern.
Outside, Millie was gleefully playing in the snow with others. She molded a
snowball so large and cold that it made her hands tremble, yet she held onto it,
reluctant to let it go.
A wave of exasperation washed over Marcus as he watched Millie. She showed
no urgency about her design and had even fallen asleep while working on it the
previous night.
Meanwhile, Nancy had completed her design, and yet here was Millie, seemingly
careless, continuing to play outside.
“This woman!” he muttered to himself. Marcus’ face darkened as he leaned
against the window frame, his thoughts filled with frustration.
After engaging in snow play with the tourists for an extended period, Millie
returned to her room. She removed her damp towel, shaking off the clinging

Finding Marcus on the sofa, his gaze fixed on her, Millie looked up in surprise.
“Don't you have anything to do today?” she queried.
Ignoring her question, Marcus retorted, “Have you finished your design? You've
been outside playing all day.”
Millie hung her towel on the hanger, nonchalantly replying, “I've completed my
design work. I didn’t have anything else to do, and I didn’t want to be stuck in my
room all day. When I saw them playing in the snow, I decided to join.”

Marcus’ surprise was evident. He had assumed Millie was wasting time, but her
casual statement that her design was done made him reconsider. Had she truly
completed her work so effortlessly?
It appeared that the task hadn't been a difficult one for her.
