Chapter 359
“What truth? Can you somehow change the fact that your brother slept with Bailey?” Gerald probed.
Artemis narrowed his eyes as he walked over to his father before sitting down.
Reaching out to take out a few documents from the drawer, he threw them in front of Gerald.
“Take a look at these yourself. Feel free to ask me any questions after reading them. I'll explain everything in detail.”
Gerald's curiosity was piqued. He could not help but lower his gaze at the documents on the table.
He scanned the information on the documents quickly.
When Gerald finished reading the documents, he looked at Artemis in astonishment. ”M-Max is Bailey's child?”
“The DNA test is right in front of you. You still don't believe it? Fine. If you're not convinced by this, feel free to ask our family
doctor to come over and redo the test,” Artemis replied.
Gerald was stumped.
Artemis has never been one to spread lies. I shouldn't question the authenticity of the DNA test he showed me.
“Does that mean Rhonda stole Bailey's son back then? So, neither Zayron nor Susan are Simon's children. These two and Max
are triplets given birth by Bailey.”
“That's right,” Artemis answered confidently. “There's no taboo regarding my relationship with Bailey. We love each other. As my
father, you shouldn't prevent us from being together.”
Artemis' words sounded a bit harsh.
Shooting his son a death glare, Gerald raged, “What do you mean? Am I that unreasonable to you?”
Artemis merely shrugged. “Zoey is the daughter of your first crush. You insist that I marry her because of your favoritism. I only
want to make my stance clear.”
Seeing that his father remained silent, Artemis did not want to waste time any longer. As he strode toward the door, he added,
“I've made up my mind that I won't marry anyone other than Bailey in this life. If you insist on stopping me, I'll have to cut ties with
the Luther family.”
“You b*stard! How the h*ll did I raise someone like you...”
The sound of Gerald's tirade sounded behind Artemis. However, the latter could not care less as he left the study without looking
back.
Meanwhile, over in the Shurmer residence, Zeke threw a stack of newspapers onto the coffee table.
“Was this your doing?”
A bloodthirsty smirk crept up on Zoey's face as she glanced at the newspapers on the table.
The overwhelming insults from others should be able to make Artemis come to his senses. That b*tch, Bailey, will finally back off,
right?
“Yes, that was me. However, this photograph was given to me by Mom. If you have any questions, go upstairs and ask her!”
Zoey snapped.
The veins on Zeke's forehead were bulging as he held back his rising anger.
He did not understand why his mother and sister insisted on beating a dead horse.
It's clear that Artemis doesn't love her. So why is she so obsessed with him?
“Zoey, do you think you can break them apart just like that? Hah! You're so naive. I can assure you that not only will you fail to
break them up, but they will humiliate you in the end.”
The grin on Zoey's face froze when she heard Zeke's words.
“W-What do you mean by that? How can they humiliate me?” she asked.
Instead of replying instantly, Zeke paced around the living room a few times. Only then did he manage to put out the flames of
anger raging within him.
“Do you take Artemis for an idiot? Do you think he won't notice it when you guys secretly took pictures of him and let those
photographs be published? To avoid Artemis, Bailey went out of her way to owe Raiden a favor. She asked him to use a
battleship to send her away. Both of them are sensible people. If the truth was as it seemed, do you think it would be that easy
for you to expose this scandal?” he probed.
Zoey chuckled upon hearing that. “Zeke, these are merely your speculations. Now that the scandal is all over the internet and
media, I don't believe Artemis will continue to make mistakes with no regard to the Luther family's reputation.”
The sound of Gerold's tirode sounded behind Artemis. However, the lotter could not core less os he left the study without looking
bock.
Meonwhile, over in the Shurmer residence, Zeke threw o stock of newspopers onto the coffee toble.
“Wos this your doing?”
A bloodthirsty smirk crept up on Zoey's foce os she glonced ot the newspopers on the toble.
The overwhelming insults from others should be oble to moke Artemis come to his senses. Thot b*tch, Boiley, will finolly bock off,
right?
“Yes, thot wos me. However, this photogroph wos given to me by Mom. If you hove ony questions, go upstoirs ond osk her!”
Zoey snopped.
The veins on Zeke's foreheod were bulging os he held bock his rising onger.
He did not understond why his mother ond sister insisted on beoting o deod horse.
It's cleor thot Artemis doesn't love her. So why is she so obsessed with him?
“Zoey, do you think you con breok them oport just like thot? Hoh! You're so noive. I con ossure you thot not only will you foil to
breok them up, but they will humiliote you in the end.”
The grin on Zoey's foce froze when she heord Zeke's words.
“W-Whot do you meon by thot? How con they humiliote me?” she osked.
Insteod of replying instontly, Zeke poced oround the living room o few times. Only then did he monoge to put out the flomes of
onger roging within him.
“Do you toke Artemis for on idiot? Do you think he won't notice it when you guys secretly took pictures of him ond let those
photogrophs be published? To ovoid Artemis, Boiley went out of her woy to owe Roiden o fovor. She osked him to use o
bottleship to send her owoy. Both of them ore sensible people. If the truth wos os it seemed, do you think it would be thot eosy
for you to expose this scondol?” he probed.
Zoey chuckled upon heoring thot. “Zeke, these ore merely your speculotions. Now thot the scondol is oll over the internet ond
medio, I don't believe Artemis will continue to moke mistokes with no regord to the Luther fomily's reputotion.”
“You...” Zeke wanted to continue reprimanding Zoey, but after seeing the stubborn and determined expression on her face, he
finally gave up.
“Fine. I hope you can accomplish your goal.”
With that, he stormed out of the living room.
Looking at Zeke's retreating figure, Zoey broke into a smirk.
Oh, I will surely accomplish my goal. Soon, Artemis will be forced to abandon Bailey due to the overwhelming rumors.
Meanwhile, Gerald had left the private mansion.
Artemis went to the Chivers residence as well. He had to explain some matters to Glen personally.
At the same time, Bailey was catching up on sleep in the bedroom.
She knew that the man who had just had his first taste of sex would not be satisfied so easily. He would undoubtedly torture her
again that night.
Amidst her sleepy haze, the phone next to the bed started ringing.
Grabbing the phone, Bailey saw that it was a call from Veikko.
Shannon...
She was wide awake within seconds.
Frowning, she sat up from bed and asked, “Veikko, did something happen to Shannon?”
“Ms. Bailey, someone is looking into me. The other party already knows that I'm in Springwyn. They're trying to locate me.”
Bailey was stunned.
“All right, I got it. Don't act rashly. Wait for my instructions.”
With that, Bailey hung up the phone. Then, she found a set of codes before making a call.
“Use all the forces in Hallsbay to help me find the whereabouts of Micah,” she ordered.
“Got it.”
Around ten minutes later, the other party returned the call. “Ms. Bailey, Micah left Hallsbay early in the morning. He took
Tarragon's private plane. However, we can't locate his route. All we know is that he has left the country.”
Bailey tightened her grip on the phone as her gaze turned cold.
She had a hunch that Micah had discovered Shannon's whereabouts.
