Super Mommy and Her Triplets

Chapter 444
He suddenly narrowed his eyes.
He suddenly narrowed his eyes.
Nothing left of her body? Could it be there's a shocking secret behind this tragedy?
“She switched me with her daughter back then and kept me with the Jefferson family, whereas her daughter was with the
Shurmer family. Now that I've ruined Zoey's reputation, do you think that woman has returned to deal with me on Zoey's behalf if
she is truly Sophia?”
Artemis fell silent for a brief moment and nodded in response. “We can't rule out that possibility. Don't worry. I'll try to dig more
information about that woman before we come back to this.”
“Okay.”
At the same time, in the Gezmond residence, Lionel called Holden over the phone and told him to come and pick Wendy up.
Holden hung up the phone right away. Lionel thought he would not come, but he still showed up in the end.
At the main entrance, Holden stood by the stairs. Wendy looked down at him and said expressionlessly, “I'll bring Sebastian
away with me once he's rescued. We will not disrupt your life and bring you any trouble.”
Holden did not say anything in response. Instead, he opened the door to the passenger seat and gestured for her to get inside.
Wendy tilted her head and glanced at Lionel next to her. Then, she forced a smile and said, “Nell, sorry for troubling you so many
years. I hope you and Victoria will get your happy ending.”
Lionel reached out and patted her back. He seemed like he wanted to say something else but gave up in the end. “Sure, I wish
you the same.”
In the car, Holden held the steering wheel as he drove ahead and said calmly, “I'm sorry for how I talked to you a couple of days
ago. I don't know what happened six years ago, and I have no idea if I genuinely liked you or if I was only using you. Please give
me more time to investigate what happened back then.”
Wendy pursed her lips and turned slightly away, fixing her gaze on the scenery outside the window.

It doesn't matter if you like me or if you're only using me. That does not change the fact that you approached me with a fake
identity and took advantage of my feelings for you back then. It also doesn't change the fact that you left me without saying
goodbye when I needed you the most. Moreover, you have stolen the most important intel from the Hoffman family by using my
trust.
“Don't bother about it. It's been so many years. Whatever we had back then has already faded with time. You're only a stranger
to me now, not the man I love. You guys don't even have the same name.”
Holden frowned a little at that. He was never good at coaxing women.
In fact, he never interacted with the opposite gender over the years, let alone coaxed them.
“Don't worry. That kid is fine. You'll see him in two days. If you don't want me to be responsible for you two, I won't force it either.
I'll make the arrangements so that you two can live a comfortable life after we save him.”
A hint of anger flashed across Wendy's eyes. She was about to lose her temper, but she thought of something and suppressed
it. “Sure. Thanks in advance, the vice president of Tarragon.”
He remained silent.
The next day, at the headquarters of Luther Group, Bailey was surprised to see the mayor's daughter showing up at work so
soon.
Staring at the elegant and beautiful young lady standing before her, she couldn't help frowning. “Ms. West, what are you doing
here? Since you've passed the interview, you should head to your department and start work there. What are you doing here at
the executive assistant's office?”
Chloe smiled faintly and answered in a somewhat joyful tone, “The HR department director, Ms. Saunders, told me to come to
the executive assistant's office and learn from you to ease the process for me to take over your position later.”
Bailey raised a brow. “Take over my position? I don't remember tendering my resignation.”
“You are pregnant, aren't you? So that means you will soon be on maternity leave. I'll take over your position during that time.”
Ha! How considerate. Should I thank the HR director for assigning an innocent beautiful young lady to work in the CEO's office
once I'm away? Doesn't this make things easier for this woman to seduce my man?

“Sure. You can stay on the highest floor. There's a mini office out there. You can claim it as your own.”
Chloe smiled confidently when she heard that. She had expected to hear this from Bailey.
The HR department director personally assigned this position to me, so it's pointless for you to disagree with that arrangement.
Bailey stood up from her seat and scooped the pile of documents on her desk in her arms before heading to the CEO's office.
Seeing that, Chloe immediately took the documents away from her. “Let me do this instead.”
Right after saying that, Chloe seemed to realize she sounded a little odd, so she immediately explained, “Ms. Bailey, since you're
pregnant, you shouldn't exhaust yourself. You can let me run some errands for you from now on.”
That way, Chloe could access the CEO's office more often and see more of Artemis every day at work.
She was delighted at that thought.
Bailey frowned and seemed somewhat pissed off at that suggestion. However, before she could react, Chloe took the documents
from her and quickly left the executive assistant's office.
Seeing that, she was speechless.
Then, the chief secretary walked into the office from outside and put several documents onto the desk before whispering, “Bailey,
is that young lady the mayor's daughter? She has such a seductive look. You should be more careful about her.”
At that, Bailey raised a brow.
It seems that I'm not the only person feeling the same about her. I'm not being unreasonable or hostile to a new employee. It's
just that I don't know what the mayor's daughter wants. Do I want to satisfy her demands?
Ring... Ring... Ring...
The internal phone rang, and the number on the screen suggested it was from a landline.
Seeing that, the chief secretary pointed at the door before leaving the office quietly.
Bailey picked up the phone.

The other party said something, and she subconsciously furrowed her brows.
The Cultural Relics Bureau?
“All right. I understand. I'll pass the message to Mr. Luther that you wish to invite him to become the ambassador of cultural
relics.”
The party at the end of the line was the deputy chief of the Cultural Relics Bureau. He wished to invite Artemis as a special guest
and visit the bureau once the cultural relics arrived at Hallsbay.
To put it simply, the bureau intended to get Artemis to invest some money by being the special ambassador.
The higher authorities must have spent too much money on getting the batch of cultural relics shipped back to the country. Now
that they were short of funding, Artemis appeared to be the best candidate they could aim for.
After the phone call, Bailey stood up and walked toward the door.
She walked past the secretary's office and pushed open the door to the CEO's office. However, the scene before her eyes
startled her a little.
In front of her, Chloe squatted down while picking up several documents scattered around the floor, whereas Artemis leaned
against the couch with a neutral expression.
The look in his eyes was cold, exceptionally cold. Bailey had never seen him looking so angry.
She did not have to guess to know the mayor's daughter must have done something to offend him.
Bailey slowly walked over to her and stepped on the paper Chloe was about to pick up. She stared condescendingly at Chloe
and said, “Ms. West, given your prominent family background as a politician's daughter, countless people are already envious of
you. However, you should know that some men are way out of your league, so please control your feelings and desire for them
while you still can. There is only one wife to Luther Group's CEO, and that is me. Those women who covet my husband can only
become his mistresses if he ever falls for them. I guess, given your status, you won't be willing to live your life as a mistress and
allow the whole world to criticize you for doing that, will you?”
Thud!
A crystal teardrop rolled down from the corner of Chloe's eye.

Bailey ignored that and walked over to the man sitting on the couch.
Artemis stood up and hugged her waist, asking softly, “It's three o'clock now. Do you feel hungry?”
