Chapter 1418
“Did he leave just like that?”
The Sect Leader of the Celestial Sect left, and so did Thomas.
Only James remained.
Standing on the top of Mount Olympus, which had been reduced to rubble, James scanned his surroundings. He stroked his
chin, deep in thought.
He was suspicious of the Sect Leader’s identity.
“Fragrance... Soft and smooth skin... Woman... Malevolent Sword... Thea?”
All clues pointed to one person-Thea Callahan.
Thea possessed the Malevolent Sword. He saw her wielding the sword multiple times.
However, he dismissed those thoughts immediately. He found the very idea itself preposterous.
How did Thea become so strong? It was impossible. He planned to question Thea upon his return to Sol.
Thea had secretly returned after leaving. She was concerned about James’ safety but she did not show herself. Instead, she
concealed herself in the shadows.
Seeing that Lucjan and the Blood Emperor had escaped and Thomas had shown himself, she breathed a sigh of relief. Wearing
a dejected look on her face, she sighed in frustration. “Why did he have to come at such a critical moment? If he hadn’t, I could
have killed Lucjan and the Blood Emperor.”
Thea was bitter about the fact that she allowed the two evil masterminds to escape. However, there was nothing much she could
do. She could only find other opportunities in the future.
Since there was nothing else to do on Mount Olympus, she had to hurry back and discuss things with Maxine. After all, James
had already begun suspecting her.
Thea could not allow that to happen. She did not linger for long and hurriedly left.
Meanwhile, James wandered about what remained of the battlefield. Soon, he found Koehler, whose life was hanging by a
thread, buried deep beneath the rubble. After the fierce battle against Lucjan, he was gravely injured and even lost an arm. He
was now lying in a pool of blood. His face was pale, and his appearance was ghastly.
James pulled him out of the rubble.
Koehler opened his eyes. Upon seeing the shrouded figure before him, he blinked. Then, he recognized James.
“J-James...”
The moment he opened his mouth, he vomited a mouthful of blood.
James grabbed his arm and took his pulse. After inspecting his condition, James shook his head.
Koehler did not have long to live. Even if he used Crucifier, his injuries would not completely recover.
“E-Excalibur can’t be destroyed... I-It’s the faith of the Knights,” Koehler spoke in a feeble voice. He tried to get up.
James helped him out in time.
Then, he sat on the ground. Looking at Mount Olympus which had been reduced to rubble and Excalibur which had been
snapped in half by Lucjan, he extended his arm and tried to reach it.
James said, “Stop moving already. What’s your family’s phone number? I will call them and inform them of your death.”
Though James could save Koehler’s life, he knew that Koehler used up all of his strength before his
death. Even if he could be saved, his life would merely be extended. He would not live for long anyway. Besides, he was not
acquainted with him whatsoever. James did not wish to waste his True Energy to save someone he was unfamiliar with.
Koehler shook his head. He was defeated. The obsession in his heart was no more.
