The Almighty Dragon General

“That’ll be great.”
James’ face was full of gratitude.
It was his wish to restore his strength.
The Nine Scriptures of Ordeals was all-encompassing and extremely complex. It was hard for him to fully understand it in such a
short period.
The Nine Scriptures of Ordeals contained the best martial art techniques found throughout the world.
Thomas sneaked into Polaris Sect ten years ago.
Over the years, he learned numerous martial art techniques that came from various corners of the globe.
He did this to learn about the different types of martial arts found across the world so he could use the knowledge to come up
with an invincible martial art technique.
Although he could not practice the Nine Scriptures of Ordeals, Thomas had fully grasped the theories behind it.
He shared what he understood about the Nine Scriptures of Ordeals in detail with James.
James spent the next few days in bed, listening to Thomas’ teachings.
With someone guiding him, James quickly understood the parts that he could not comprehend in the past.
“Thank you.”
After organizing the information he had been given and taking the time to understand it, James sincerely expressed his gratitude.
“There’s no need for formalities between you and me.”
Thomas waved his hand and said, “However, you haven’t fulfilled the conditions to practice the Nine Scriptures of Ordeal. You’re
almost there, so about I lend you a hand?”
“I-It’s fine.”
Hearing this, James was afraid.

This was not something to be taken lightly.
He needed to be on the brink of death to practice the technique, and a single misstep could result in his death.
Thomas also proceeded cautiously because it was indeed dangerous.
“By the way...”
Thomas thought of something and said, “I heard that the penultimate stage in the Thirteen Heavenly Swords is the manifestation
of a fourteenth sword. However, I thought that it was only a myth. It’s actually a little similar to the final steps of my sect’s Polaris
Sword Art,”
Thomas belonged to the Caden family but was not allowed to practice the Thirteen Heavenly Swords.
He had stolen the signature techniques from a wide variety of sects including the one from his own family.
However, despite the fact that he had extensive knowledge of many martial art techniques, he was still unable to fully
comprehend the Fourteen Heavenly Swords
Yet, he had mastered the Polaris Sword Art.
As for the last half of the Polaris Sword Art that had not been created by the Polaris Sect leader, Thomas had not learned that
yet.
In the process of reaching his current rank, he achieved many things and acquired immense knowledge in martial arts.
Thus, he presumed the Fourteen Heavenly Swords and the Polaris Sword Arts shared similarities in their more advanced parts.
It was the manifestation of swordsmanship after reaching the highest realm.
“Yes.”
James nodded lightly and said, “I also surmised that they were somewhat similar. This is the path I’ve decided to take.”
“It’s a pity you’re unable to practice it in your current condition. Otherwise, I’d teach you the Polaris Sword Art since I’m already
well-versed in it.”
James replied with a smile, “Senior, you’ve already taught me a lot.”

Although Archbishop Polaris had always called him by his name, he had done so much for James. So, James felt it was only
polite for him to address him as his senior.
He would have never guessed that Archbishop Polaris in front of him was his grandfather in disguise.
“James, I want to help you.”
Thomas stood up abruptly.
Looking at James lying in bed, he said slowly, “You still have a lot to accomplish. I don’t want to see you in a wheelchair for the
rest of your life.
“W-What’re you trying to do?” James’ expression became slightly nervous.
“I apologize for what I’m about to do in advance. If you don’t survive then that is simply your fate.
“I’m sure you don’t want to be confined to a bed for the rest of your life either. I’ll help you return to the top again. Whether you
die from this or soar once more will be entirely dependent on your own power.”
While speaking, he suddenly raised his hand.
Powerful True Energy gathered in the palm of his hands.
He thrust his palm forward into James’ chest.
“Argh!!!”
James let out an agonized scream.
At that moment, he felt like his internal organs were set aflame. His meridians were broken, and his body was wracked in severe
pain. The horrendous feeling was worse than death. His expression distorted from the pain, and his eyes widened.
He felt dizzy and groggy like he was about to lose consciousness.
“James, hold on!
“Nine Ordeals and Nine Destructions! Now’s your only chance! A near-death experience to concentrate your senses into one!
Start circulating your energy right now! You have to cultivate now! You can do it! I believe you can do it!”

Before James passed out, a persistent voice rang in his ears.
