The Almighty Dragon General

Chapter 1787
James apologized, stood up, and bowed his head.
“I’m here to apologize for it.
“I’m really sorry.
“I’m unable to keep my promise to you.
“I should’ve made it clear to you earlier, but I’ve delayed it until now because of so many unexpected things.”
Tears kept rolling down Tiara’s cheeks.
Tiara knew this day would come, but she still held on to some hope all this time.
At that moment, she did not feel too much sadness but instead felt relieved.
Tiara said with a smile, “You don’t have to feel guilty about it, James.”
Although she was smiling, tears still rolled down her face.
Even so, she tried her best to comfort James. She did not want James to feel guilty or be burdened by her. James heaved a sigh
of relief, seeing that Tiara had accepted his words.
“Thank you for the Dragon Essence.”
Tiara knew James would feel bad and brood over it on his future martial art path if she did not accept it. “I’ve got something else
to do, so I’ll take my leave first.”
Tiara left with the Dragon Essence.
James sat on the sofa in the private room in a daze for about ten minutes.
“Huff.”
After some time, he took a deep breath.
Then, he called Quincy.

The meet-up location was the same coffee shop, but James had changed to a different private room. Soon, Quincy arrived.
She wore a red dress and had big, red, wavy curls, radiating with the charisma of a mature urban woman. “Long time no see,
James.”
As soon as she sat down, she greeted James. With a faint smile, she asked jokingly, “What did you ask me out to tell me? Could
it be that you want to invite me to your wedding?”
Quincy was very open-minded and accepting.
James said with a smile, “You’ve been helping me for the past two years, and I’ve always wanted to treat you to a meal but never
had the chance to do so. I’m free today and wanted to sit with you for a while. What do you want for lunch? Go ahead and tell me
a place. I’ll treat you.”
“You’re being too polite with me.”
Quincy said with a smile, “I’m helping you because I love to work. Even if I weren’t helping you, I’d be working anyway.”
James took out a syringe the size of a mineral bottle and handed it to Quincy.
“Dragon blood?” Quincy was startled.
Although she did not care about the ancient martial world’s affairs, she had still heard the news about the dragon slaying.
She also knew James and Thea participated in slaughtering the dragon.
“Yeah.”
James nodded gently and said, “This is the dragon’s blood that every martial artist has been dreaming about. It’s rumored the
dragon’s blood can make one immortal and live forever. Although I don’t know if it’s true, there are a few immortals in Sol and
overseas.”
“Gosh, you’re being too kind. Who am I to receive this?”
Although Quincy chuckled jokingly, she still accepted the dragon’s blood.
She was a wise woman and could guess that James had given her such a precious gift to say goodbye.

She maintained a smile on her face, but her heart was in sorrow.
Immortality?
What was the point?
Was she supposed to live a lonely eternity?
Despite the thought, she kept it to herself.
Quincy asked jokingly. “By the way, when will you and Thea hold your official wedding?”
James smiled and said, “We probably won’t have a wedding. We’ll leave Cansington in a few days to travel the world.”
“Oh,” Quincy left out a soft reply.
Her expression remained the same, but her eyes were filled with a trace of sadness.
