The Almighty Dragon General

Chapter 1802
Till go with you.”
Thea was concerned about the Callahans’ safety as well. They were family, after all. Now that her family was in danger, she
could not simply sit idly by
James stopped her in time and said, “Don’t worry, Thea. The baby is due in two months. You shouldn’t be running around. Stay
here and rest well. I promise I’ll be back soon.”
“You should hurry, James. Any later and everyone might be killed!” David said anxiously.
Upon hearing this, Thea furrowed her eyebrows. She was lost in thought
She could not understand why something like this would happen at such a critical moment. Was it merely a coincidence?
“Don’t worry. Thea, everything will be fine.” James grabbed Thea’s hand and consoled her, “You know how powerful I am, don’t
you? Even if I have yet to cross into the ninth rank, I can face off against a Half-Saint.” “I’m not worried about your safety.” Thea
said anxiously. I know your strength, of course. I’m just concerned about the timing of all this. There might be more coming our
way.”
“It’s going to be alright.”
“Be careful, alright? I’ll be waiting for you in the village.”
“Mhm. I’ll go retrieve the Primordial Dragon Blade”
James had not wielded the sword in three years. Now, the time had come for him to pick it up once more.
“Let me go with you,” Thea said. “I have a bad feeling about this, so I should retrieve my Malevolent Sword. With the Malevolent
Sword by my side, I’ll feel much more at ease.”
“Sure.” James nodded.
The two headed to the mountain behind the village. Then, they arrived at the pond where they had abandoned their swords three
years earlier.

James waved his arm, and a sword burst forth from within the pond. He grabbed it flawlessly.
Swish!
As he brandished the Primordial Dragon Blade, the sword radiated a blinding golden light. Since the Primordial Dragon Blade
was forged out of Ascenium Steel, it had not rusted even though it was immersed in a pool of water for three years.
Thea waved her arm too, and the Malevolent Sword emerged from the water’s surface. Holding the sword in her hand, she
caressed it gently as just as she would her child.
After retrieving the swords, the two swiftly descended the mountain.
The moment they returned to the courtyard, Callan was in the midst of a conversation with David.
Callan was also informed about the Callahans’ problem.
“James, are you leaving already?” Callan looked at James and said, “Back when you retreated into the mountains, news of your
seclusion spread. They say that you’d never again interfere in the affairs of the ancient martial world. Coming out of your
seclusion haphazardly might be a little inappropriate.”
James said, “Something bad happened to the Callahans. I can’t just sit by the sidelines.”
“James, there is a rule in the ancient martial world that states that one cannot simply rejoin the martial community upon leaving.”
“I know, but I don’t have a choice. There’s no way I can simply turn a blind eye to the Callahans’ annihilation.”
“In that case, I’ll go with you.”
James waved a hand and said, “Callan, Thea’s baby is due in two months. Stay here and watch over her. I’m worried that this
could be a diversionary tactic to lure me away from Thea.”
“Huh?” Callan asked, “What do you mean?”
James said, “David said that he came here under the guidance of a mysterious person. Not many people know where I currently
side. Have you forgotten about the Hansels requesting my help a few days ago?”
Wearing a grim expression, Callan said, “Are you suspecting Maxine, Master of the Floret Palace?” “Mhm.” James nodded.
