Henrik and Qusai only came by to relay a message and to drink with James. After doing so, they left to explore the Human
Realm.
James went looking for Melinda. As Melinda was the reincarnation of an Ancestral God in the Primeval Age and the daughter of
the previous ruler of the universe, she had experienced many things and understood profound matters.
Melinda resided in a place with beautiful mountains and rivers in the Divine Dimension.
Melinda appeared shortly after James’ arrival.
“You’re here.”
“Yes.” James nodded.
“Let’s discuss things inside.”
Melinda casually waved her hand and opened the Formation. Then, with her grabbing James’ hand, they entered the Formation
and arrived at the peak of a mountain.
In a house on the mountain’s peak, Melinda asked, “Is something the matter?”
James narrated the events that unfolded.
“The Fiend and Demon Realms wish to help me out in secret. However, there’s a twist. Once I gain control of the Human Race,
I’ll have to work with them to reorganize the universe, integrating the other races into our race.”
As he said that, he looked at Melinda and asked, “What do you think?”
Melinda fell into deep thought.
After some time, she said, “This must be the work of Radomir.”
“Oh?” James looked at her.
He suspected that Radomir had changed the operating rules of the Heavenly Path and allowed the powerful figures of the Fiend
and Demon Realms to see through Heaven’s secrets, thus pushing them to plan an alliance with the Human Race.
Melinda said, “Radomir has always wanted to do this.”
James asked, “What do you mean?”
After some contemplation, she asked, “Do you know why Radomir became a traitor?”
James shook his head.
She said, “It has something to do with my father’s strategy.”
“Huh?”
James froze.
Melinda explained, “When my father was the Macrocosm Ancestral God, he advocated for peace and harmony between various
races.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Puzzled, James said, “That’s a superb strategy. Peace and harmony are what all living beings aspire to
have.”
Melinda said, “However, peace and harmony will only bring about complacency. Without chaos, living beings wouldn’t strive to
cultivate, and their desire to grow stronger wouldn’t be as intense. That’ll lead to there being only a few powerful figures among
the various races.”
James listened intently.
Melinda continued, “Radomir’s strategy is different. He argues that living beings will lose the motivation to cultivate if they aren’t
under any pressure. Conversely, they’ll emerge as forces to be reckoned with if backed into a corner.”
Hearing this, James said, “So that was why he annihilated all the Ancestral Gods of the Human Race when they banded together
to resist him.”
Melinda nodded and said, “Even so, he offered them a lifeline.”
James nodded slightly. The so-called lifeline should be referring to the Fourth Calamity.
He sighed and said, “In that case, everything has been going according to Radomir’s plans. Even though he rarely shows
himself, as the ruler of this universe, he secretly has everything under his thumb. To prevent the various races from living in
harmony, he wants to drive a wedge between them.”
