James looked over the map.
It had various routes marked out as well as dangerous regions..
However, the map only displayed the edges of Mount Nothingness’.
The central region of the mountain was left blank because the Londyns had yet to explore the depths of the mountain range.
James looked pensively at the paths drawn on the map.
Standing beside him, Mia said, “According to the phantom beast, the closest route will only have three checkpoints. Therefore, it
can only be this one.”
While speaking, she pointed at a route marked out on the map. Only one dangerous region was marked along its path.
“It should be this route. One of our ancestors traveled deep into this region, but he never returned. As for the other routes,
they’ve already been explored by other family members.”
James looked at a marked area with a frown and asked, “What’s in this region?”
Mia shook her head, expressing her uncertainty.
“Let’s go check it out.”
James was not afraid of the unknown regions within Mount Nothingness.
Handling the hazards in Mount Nothingness would be easier than facing his deadly pursuers.
After James ascertained their travel direction, he stepped forward and advanced a thousand meters away.
Hadrian, Herbert, and Mia followed after him.
James was careful not to proceed too hastily since Mount Nothingness had too many unknown dangers. Therefore, he slowly
traversed the area instead of opening up a spatial passage.
The four quickly disappeared from the area and traveled into the depths of Mount Nothingness.
After Zenaida left Mount Nothingness, she quickly made her way to Mount Heavenly Path.
Herschel sat at the highest seat in the main hall of Mount Herschel. He looked into the distance with his deep-set eyes. His face
displayed an assertive expression.
Swoosh!
A shadow flickered in front of him, slowly taking the form of a graceful woman.
It was Zenaida who had rushed back from Mount Nothingness.
She greeted Herschel, “Young Master.”
Herschel’s mind to the present. He nodded lightly, and replied. “Zenaida. Why are you back so soon? What’s the situation on
Mount Nothingness?”
A Caelum Ancestral God was capable of sensing every corner of the universe.
However, Herschel had not yet reached that rank and was not yet omniscient. Thus, he was unaware of the exact situation on
Mount Nothingness.
Zenaida shook her head and replied. “James is too powerful, and I couldn’t take him down. I even relied on Reincarnation Power,
but it was useless.”
“What?!” Herschel stood up in shock.
“You couldn’t win against James and failed to kill him?”
Zenaida nodded and said, “Yes, Sir. I attempted to use Reincarnation Power to destroy his soul and physical body so that I could
transport him into another age. However, he broke free from my grasp and displayed a new kind of power. I chose to flee since I
would’ve been defeated if I continued to fight.”
Herschel took a sharp breath and slowly sat down.
“Also...” Zenaida parted her lips and continued her report. “James has already formed a Sword Path Seal, and his physical
strength has reached the peak of the Grand Emperor Rank’s Seventh Heaven. He’s very close to reaching the Eighth Heaven.”
Surprised, Herschel said, “That brat sure is impressive. He improved so much in such a short period. If he really survives the ten
thousand-year deadline I gave him, he’ll most likely become an Ancestral God.”
Zenaida did not express her opinion on the matter and turned to leave.
After she disappeared, her voice echoed in the hall.
“Young Master, I will be going into seclusion. I hope to become an Ancestral God before the next Grand Tournament of the
Universe.
Zenaida’s voice gradually became softer and eventually faded away.
