Chapter 4019 James’ expression was grim.
He knew just how terrifying an Acmean was.
To fight against even an injured Acmean, he had to summon his full strength just to be on equal footing.
Meanwhile, an Acmean would only become more terrifying after sacrificing himself.
Previously during the battle against the Ursa, he almost perished at his hands.
So, he was wondering whether he should approach the cage.
“Since I can’t break the formation for the time being, maybe I should head over there and have a look.
Perhaps I can work together with the Acmean and make our way out of here.” An idea flashed through James’ mind.
With that idea in mind, he strode forward with caution.
Crack...
As he stepped on a rock on the ground, the rock shattered and turned into a pile of sand.
The rock had been softened by the corrosion of the mysterious power.
If not for James catalyzing his power to decrease his weight, he would have been knee-deep in the sand.
Soon, he arrived at the central region of the plains.
The cage was bizarre.
This was a black palace made out of mysterious inscriptions.
These inscriptions would circulate non-stop while exuding a mysterious power.
Besides, countless interweaving light beams in the surroundings exuded a bizarre power.
Even a Macrocosm Ancestral God would be instantly annihilated if he approached the light beams.
James arrived outside the cage.
Then, a deafening roar came from inside the cage.
The roar was both solemn and blood-chilling and seemed to carry excruciating pain.
Upon hearing this, even James was taken aback.
What sort of pain was the creature inside the cage experiencing to let loose such a scream of agony? He tried to approach the
cage.
Immediately, a terrifying power swept toward him, and he hurriedly dodged in time.
The power transformed into illusory blades and charged into the distance before disappearing without a trace.
“What a terrifying power...
If I was struck by that power, I would have suffered grave injuries.” James took a deep breath.
This place was too eerie, and he did not wish to remain here for even a second more.
Though he was curious about what was inside the cage, he also knew that curiosity kills the cat.
As such, his priority should be to leave as soon as possible.
He turned to leave.
“Come back, kid.” A growl came.
Then, a strong suction force came from inside the cage and forcibly pulled James toward it.
“F*ck...” James cursed and hurriedly catalyzed all his strength to resist the force.
However, there was a huge power disparity between his strength and the suction force.
He immediately entered the Omniscience Path.
By combining the Chaos Power he possessed and the Omniscience Path, he was barely able to withstand the suction force.
His body stopped at the edge of the formation.
If he took just another step back, he would certainly come into contact with it and be injured by the force.
James resisted the force bitterly for about ten minutes before the suction force disappeared.
Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief.
He turned around and looked at the palace formed by inscriptions, asking coldly, “Who are you?”
