Chapter 4405
Xezal briefly explained what happened. After leaving behind a single sentence, her shadow disappeared from the elders’ sight.
The elders exchanged glances, sizing up each other.
James successfully escaped from the Doom Race. It was more like Xezal deliberately let him go than him escaping. He had no
idea why Xezal allowed him to leave.
James ventured far away from the Dooms Universe and entered an uninhabited small world.
He finally breathed a sigh of relief when he sensed that no living beings were tracking him.
As he relaxed, he slumped down to the ground and was unable to hold back a mouthful of blood. Seating himself cross-legged
on the ground immediately, he activated his powers to heal his injuries.
Simultaneously, he released Thea.
“Are you alright?” As soon as Thea appeared, her face was filled with concern once she noticed James’ injuries.
James grinned nonchalantly and said, “What could possibly be wrong? Xezal is truly terrifying. She might have already
transcended the Terra Acme Rank and entered the Caelum Acme Rank.”
James had a rough estimate of Xezal’s strength after their first encounter. He was no match for her at his current cultivation rank.
“I’m sorry for causing you trouble,” Thea apologized, her face showing remorse.
James stood up and embraced her. “Don’t say that. Your troubles are my troubles. There’s no need to blame yourself. Besides, I
can’t stay in the outside world for long. I have to return to the Doom Race as Wyot.”
“What do we do next?” Thea felt a bit confused.
James released his embrace and sat cross-legged on the ground, his face showing contemplation.
Things had indeed become troublesome now. Every step had to be taken cautiously, as each one would have an impact on the
future of the entire Human Race.
After thinking for a while, he asked, “How’s it going in the Primordial Realm?”
Thea replied, “The Primordial Realm has long been polluted and is no longer a suitable place for humans to cultivate. It can be
abandoned at any time. The New World is ready and can merge at any moment. We’re just waiting for things to be settled in the
Greater Realms.”
The New World had long been prepared. It would merge when the time came, and the humans would give birth to a new
homeland.
“We need to release Soren,” James said after some thought. “I thought that I’d be invincible or at least be able to contend with
the Doom Race and various other races after reaching the Late Stage of the Omniscience Path’s Eighth Stage and having a
preliminary understanding of the Blithe Omniscience. Now, I can’t even deal with Xezal. Moreover, they have the formidable
Youri. We, humans, cannot truly confront the Doom Race without Soren.”
Thea listened earnestly.
James continued, “However, now that the tokens are in Youri’s hands, I wouldn’t be able to get them even if I returned to the
Doom Race as Wyot. My current plan is to go back to the Doom Race first and see if I can obtain the tokens from him. Once I
have them, I’ll immediately go to the Cloud Race.”
“Okay.” Thea nodded, bobbing her head. She said, “That seems to be the only way now.”
“Oh, by the way,” James asked, “How did Soren get trapped in the first place?”
Thea shook her head and said, “I’m not entirely sure about that. My realm had declined, and I had fallen out of the Acme Rank
when Soren got trapped. I was in closed-door meditation for cultivation, so I don’t know much about these things.”
“Do you still remember Zaire?” James looked at her.
“...” Thea looked astonished.
She blushed shyly, nodding her head, and asked, “You entered the Path of Heavenly Awakening?”
James smiled and replied, “I did. I went through four trials but wasn’t confident about passing the remaining ones, so I left. I
encountered you in the third trial. I didn’t expect that we had such a history. For you, these memories are just history, but for the
me from that time, your memories are my future. The powerhouse who created the Path of Heavenly Awakening is truly
formidable for creating a realm that transcends the past and present. Thanks to you, I was able to turn away from the path of
evil. If you hadn’t taken the punishment of the Chaos Lightning for me, I might have walked further down the path of Energy
Deviation and eventually been consumed by evil forces.”
Thea’s face carried gratitude as she looked at James with affection in her eyes.
