The Invincible Sect was a terrifying existence.
James could sense the aura of their powerhouses. He knew these cultivators could easily wipe out the Doom Race and Human
Race altogether.
Under Wyndael’s guidance, James arrived in a hall atop a spiritual mountain.
Wyndael sat in the highest seat, and his temperament shifted drastically.
Previously, he was rather friendly toward James. But now, he looked like an invincible powerhouse, and his body emitted a
terrifying aura.
“Let me formally introduce myself, James. My name is Wyndael Klein, and I’m the Invincible Sect’s Leader.”
James was slightly taken aback. It never crossed his mind that Wyndael was the Invincible Sect’s Leader.
He quickly recomposed himself, clasped his hands, and said, “It’s an honor to meet you, Sir Wyndael.”
“You don’t need to be so formal.”
Wyndael waved his hand and dispersed his terrifying aura, returning to his previous casual demeanor. He descended from the
highest seat and walked over to James. Then, he pointed toward some chairs aside and said, “Let’s chat over there.”
James sat down, and Wyndael followed to sit beside him.
Wyndael said straightforwardly, “I know you must have many questions. I’ll tell you about my sect first. The Invincible Sect
existed before the first Sky Burial Age. After the first Sky Burial, our sect chose to stay hidden from the Greater Realms. We’ve
had to migrate our headquarters several times.”
James asked, “What exactly are Sky Burials? I’ve heard many powerhouses died during the first Sky Burial. Are they really
dead?”
Wyndael became serious at the mention of Sky Burials.
‘The Sky Burial is actually related to powerhouses from outside territory.”
“Outside territory?” James was stunned.
Wyndael said, “Yeap. The outsider territory refers to regions outside of the Chaos. The Greater Realms had been formed inside
the Chaos, and we have many universes. However, the Chaos’ restrictions prevent living beings from leaving it. No matter how
strong one is, going beyond the Chaos is impossible. There are more regions beyond it, and they are called the outside territory.
“From what I know, the powerhouses from the outside territory can sense the Chaos’ exact location once a certain amount of
Caelum Acmean has been reached. Therefore, they’ll launch an attack on the Chaos, and seize our resources.
“If there aren’t many powerhouses in the Chaos, then the creatures from the outside territory won’t be able to locate the Chaos.”
James began to understand the situation and thought to himself, ‘No wonder Teresa mentioned the Sky Burial is like a defense
mechanism, and it was done to protect the living beings in the Chaos.’
“Have powerhouses from the outside territory successfully infiltrated our Chaos before? Are they strong?” asked James.
Wyndael replied, “Of course. Before the first Sky Burial, the Chaos had countless powerhouses, including the Human Race’s
Yardos Xagorari and the Doom Race’s Grand Patriarch. During the battle of the first Sky Burial, the Doom Race’s Grand
Patriarch severely injured a powerhouse of the outside territory with his Heaven Piercing Sword Art.
“Countless powerhouses died during the battle against the outside powerhouses. After many of our powerhouses were
sacrificed, the Chaos sealed itself off. The powerhouses from the outside territory could no longer sense the Chaos’ existence
nor enter the Chaos.”
Wyndael shared some information with James.
James understood the Sky Burial happened because the Chaos could not allow too many powerhouses to exist as it would
threaten its lifespan.
He had learned from the Yaneiri Clan that the Chaos Heavenly Path had a limited lifespan. The third Sky Burial would be the
destruction of the Chaos Heavenly Path. The
Chaos Heavenly Path’s lifespan could only be extended if a powerhouse entered the Chaos Rank.
James asked, “What’s the reason these powerhouses from the outside territory invaded the Chaos?” asked James.
Wyndael shook his head lightly and replied, “I’m not too sure.”
In the past, he avoided the first Sky Burial and did not participate in the battle.
