Standing outside the canyon, James rubbed his chin pensively and murmured, “Who could be hiding here? The aura I sense is
very frail and feels nonexistent at times. The person here must be injured and came here in a rush to recuperate.”
James made a conjecture based on the situation. He suspected it was one of the powerhouses in the previous battle in the
Endlos Void. However, he was unsure whether it was a powerhouse from the Theos Sect or Daemonium Sect.
Meanwhile, a woman in a purple dress was sitting on a rock inside the canyon. She looked battered and bruised. Her hair was
loosely scattered, and her body was covered with injuries and blood.
The woman was Waleria, one of the Theos Sect’s strongest powerhouse.
Some time ago, she crossed paths with powerhouses from the Daemonium Sect and was besieged. She was severely injured
and was hanging by a thread. To survive, she must perform one of the Theos Sect’s Forbidden Art.
It was a terrifying technique that allowed her to be reborn and overcome her desperate situation. However, she would enter a
state of vulnerability for some time after casting it.
Initially, Waleria planned to find a safer location. However, she was running out of time and would die if she delayed any longer.
Therefore, she chose the canyon in a panic.
She had entered the most crucial part of casting the Forbidden Art. Death would be inevitable if she were found by the
Daemonium Sect’s powerhouses now.
Unfortunately, her worst fear came true. A powerful cultivator had entered the universe and was standing right outside the
canyon.
She was slightly relieved the person outside did not try to destroy the formation.
Just when she had relaxed, she sensed more powerful creatures approaching the universe. The incoming group had evil auras,
and she immediately knew they were from the Daemonium Sect.
Waleria gasped in horror. “I’m doomed. Am I really going to perish here?”
Outside the canyon, James rubbed his chin as he investigated the formation. After thinking briefly, he wanted to use brute force
to break it.
However, he suspected the living being inside the formation was injured. The living being was most likely recuperating and would
definitely interrupt the person inside if he acted rashly.
While James was contemplating, he suddenly sensed a group of powerhouses getting close. He immediately hid his breath and
entered a state of invisibility.
About a thousand powerhouses appeared. They were dressed in black robes and bizarre masks, making it impossible to see
their exact appearance.
“Guardian, it should be here.”
“Indeed. I can sense her aura. Waleria must be here.”
“Send out a signal, and summon all our sect’s powerhouses. We need to capture Waleria alive.”
The group communicated amongst themselves.
The person addressed as the Guardian stopped them and said, “Waleria is already injured. It’s the perfect chance to prove
ourselves. If we can capture her alive, we’ll be rewarded and gain recognition in the sect.”
While hiding, James confirmed that the person hiding inside the formation was Waleria from the Theos Sect.
He already knew Theos Sect was the Theos District’s orthodox sect, whereas the Daemonium Sect was known as a corrupted
sect.
James sensed the auras of the group of powerhouses and instantly learned of their cultivation ranks.
The leader was at the early stage of the Caelum Acme Rank. Many of the powerhouses in the group were Terra Acmeans, and
the rest were Quasi Acmeans.
James was confident he would take on the entire group with his physical strength. However, he knew doing so would attract the
attention of the Daemonium Sect’s stronger members.
He racked his brains for a way to save Waleria.
