Waleria looked at James suspiciously and asked, “What’s your relationship with Yardos?”
James replied, “Who’s Yardos?”
Since James refused to answer, Waleria did not press him about it.
James was also curious about Yardos’ situation. Before visiting him, James needed to have a thorough understanding of his
circumstances first.
“What’s the origin of Yardos?”
Waleria was puzzled by James’ question. She asked, “Do you really not know him?”
James shook his head in response.
Waleria explained, “Yardos is a powerhouse in the Welkin District. Long ago, he challenged the Welkin District’s Leader, who is
ranked third in the Endlos’ Nine Districts.
Although he was defeated, he is incredibly powerful. His strength isn’t enough to be ranked top ten in the Nine Districts, but his
escaping ability is definitely the best.”
James inquired, “Do you know the details about him?”
Waleria shook her head and said, “I don’t know the entire story. I’ve never seen Yardos before. I only know he lives in seclusion
on Mount Blithe in the Welkin District. It seems he had made a bet with the Welkin District’s Leader before
their past battle. He probably agreed never to leave Mount Blithe if he lost. To leave, he must defeat the Welkin
District’s Leader. Unfortunately, the Welkin District’s Leader has already entered the Chaos Rank. It’s extremely difficult to beat
him.
“Why did they make a bet?” asked James.
“How would I know?”
Waleria put a stop to the topic. She pointed to the universe ahead and said, “Let’s stay in that universe for a while.”
Since Waleria stopped talking about it, James did not inquire any further.
The two entered the universe and appeared in a starry space.
Then, Waleria said, “This universe is called the Spellmourn Universe. It’s a relatively powerful universe in the Welkin District’s
outer region. A Caelum Acmean rules over this universe, and there is more than one Caelum Acmean here.”
James had no interest in the Caelum Acmeans. His main priority was Empyrean herbs.
“You promised to give me Acmean Herbs. How many can you give me now?”
James desperately wanted to improve his bloodline power. He would be unable to improve his cultivation rank if he did not break
the seal inside his body.
The seal was causing him a lot of trouble.
Waleria fell into thought. She promised to give James fifty Acmean Herbs but did not have that many on hand.
“How about we make a deal?” Waleria suggested.
“What deal?” James looked at her cautiously and did not immediately agree to her suggestion.
“I can tell your physical strength is exceptional. You must’ve cultivated the Omniscience Path passed down by Yardos. There’s a
Secret Art in my sect that will greatly benefit you in cultivating the Omniscience Path.”
The Omniscience Path did not originate from the Endlos’ Nine District. Thus, Waleria knew James had to have inherited Yardos’
Omniscience Path.
After Yardos arrived in the Endlos’ Nine Districts, he went into hiding to recuperate. Sometime later, he established the Freedom
Sect and passed down the Omniscience Path.
Yardos did not keep the Omniscience Path to himself and generously taught it to other humans. He also allowed different races
to cultivate it, but they would have a harder time than humans.
James asked hesitantly, “What kind of Secret Art is it?”
Waleria said smilingly, “It’s called the Nine Essence. It’s a Forbidden Art of the Theos Sect. Only a few core members are
allowed to cultivate it. You’d benefit greatly from it.”
“I don’t want it. I want the Acmean Herbs instead.”
James did not trust Waleria.
Waleria reprimanded him, ‘You’re so stubborn. Do you even know what the Nine Essence is or how powerful it is? It’s the
prerequisite for cultivating our sect’s Forbidden Art. If you join our sect, you’ll be qualified to practice our legendary Forbidden
Art, the Theos Light. It’s a Forbidden Art created by the Theos District’s Leader!”
