The Almighty Dragon General Chapter 4739-James immediately sensed the danger. He grabbed Wynton and cast the Blithe
Omniscience to escape. Unfortunately, their opponent was a powerhouse at the Quasi Chaos Rank. Even the powerful Blithe
Omniscience was unable to escape her grasp.
James and Wynton were surrounded by a powerful force and dragged back into the hall.
Boom!
They fell to the floor.
Zula descended from her seat and looked at them condescendingly. Then, she said disdainfully, “Are you two responsible for
destroying my sect’s bases? You two are disciples from the Verde Academy, right? Why would the Headmaster of the Verde
Academy send such trash to infiltrate our headquarters?”
James was clueless about how they exposed themselves. However, he could only try to deny it.
“I’ve no idea what you’re talking about, madam. What do you mean we destroyed your sect’s bases? I didn’t know your sect has
other bases. We merely heard about the Tarbitha Sect and wanted to join.”
Wynton agreed, saying, “Yeah, it’s as he explained.”
“You still don’t want to admit it?” Zula sneered.
She raised her hand, and powerful force emitted from her fingertips.
James knew he could not resist her power and would surely die. He frantically said, “Wait. I’ll tell you everything.”
Zula dissipated her power and returned to the hall’s highest seat. Then, she waved her hand, removing the seals placed on
them. She was not worried about them escaping again since catching them was a piece of cake.
James’ appearance gradually returned to normal. He looked at Zula, sitting in the highest seat, looking at them with a nonchalant
expression. Then, he said, “I’m James Caden, the Tempris House’s Head.”
“Pfft!!!” Zula burst out laughing. She looked at James and mocked, “Is the Verde Academy’s Headmaster blind? Why did he
choose such a weak cultivator like you as the
Tempris House’s Head?”
Zula had always been on the lookout for the Verda Academy. So, she had heard about James succeeding as the Tempris
House’s Head. However, she was not expecting him to be the one sent to destroy their sect.
“With your strength, it’s impossible for you to have wiped out our bases. It must’ve been Waleria from the Theos Sect, right?”
Hearing this, James was even more certain the woman before him was definitely the Malvada Sect’s Leader. He began racking
his brains for a plan to escape.
Zula smiled and said, “Don’t even think about escaping. Now that you’ve fallen into my hands, you won’t be able to get out.”
“Lock them both up,” Waleria issued an order, then casually waved her hand. An inscription appeared and instantly sealed
James and Wynton.
Soon, several disciples entered the main hall and dragged them away.
To their surprise, they were not imprisoned in a dark dungeon. Instead, they were kept within a courtyard house atop a spiritual
mountain with a formation around it. Since it was protected and their cultivation bases were sealed, they could not escape.
Meanwhile, the Great Elder discussed with Zula inside the main hall.
The Great Elder said respectfully, “Madam, it’s the perfect opportunity to take revenge against Tempris House. Let’s kill their
head right away.”
Zula glared at the Great Elder, causing him to shut up immediately.
“James is Wael’s successor. No matter what, I should at least keep him alive,” said Zula.
The Great Elder said disappointedly, “So are we just going to forgive them for destroying our bases?”
“It was their own fault for being wiped out. I warned them not to cultivate such corrupted arts, but they refused to
listen. Eventually, they caused their demise. There’s no one to blame but themselves.”
“Despite that, they are still your subordinates. If you don’t make a stand for them, our sect won’t be able to gain a foothold in the
Verde District.”
