“You’re after admission tickets, right? We’re just lowly- ranked cultivators and aren’t qualified for admission tickets. Please let us
pass through.”
Several disciples trying to enter the mountain gate tried to plead with James.
James frowned and said, ‘You don’t have admission tickets? Fine. Disciples under the Holy Celestial Rank can pass through the
mountain gate.”
Hearing this, the disciples with weaker cultivation ranks were overjoyed.
Immediately afterward, they passed through the mountain gate and hurried on with their business.
Soon, a large group of disciples were gathered on both sides of the mountain gate. They could not pass through James’
formation but were unwilling to hand over their admission tickets.
“Forty-nine.” A voice came from the distance.
James looked in the direction where the sound came from and saw Halevi.
Halevi appeared in front of the mountain gate and looked at James. Then, he acquainted, how about you let some of my friends
go? They are in a rush to get some business done outside.”
James squinted his eyes and replied, “If I let everyone go because of connections, how will I collect enough admission tickets to
enter the ninth-rank world?”
Halevi maintained his smile even though he was rejected. He tried again, saying, “I know you’ll need a lot of admission tickets to
enter the ninth-ranked world. But you’ll be guarding the mountain gate for some time. I’m sure you’ll collect enough to enter the
ninth-rank world by then.”
‘You should stop trying to persuade me.” James waved his hand.
Even Landry was paying no heed to his actions. After collecting enough admission tickets, he planned to collect other kinds of
fees.
The Hagios Sect was the Human Race’s largest force.
Hence, disciples under the sect were mainly human geniuses from major sects and families all over Anceralos. Most of them
were from wealthy backgrounds.
Thus, James wanted to use the opportunity to collect some treasures.
Halevi’s face darkened after being rejected the second time. Despite his dissatisfaction, he knew he could not defeat James.
Therefore, he left disappointedly.
“Here’s an admission ticket, Forty-nine. Take it.”
Ultimately, a disciple gave up and handed over an admission ticket.
James accepted it with a satisfied smile, then let the disciple pass through the mountain gate.
After the first person took the initiative, the rest gradually followed suit.
Many disciples handed over their admission tickets to James.
James decided to set a new rule. Those who handed over admission tickets could pass through the mountain gate unlimitedly
within a specified time limit.
With no other way to pass through the potent formation, many disciples chose to compromise.
James’ actions quickly spread throughout the Hagios Sect.
“Forty-nine did what? He sealed the mountain gate and is collecting admission tickets from those who wish to pass?”
“He’s lawless!”
“Is the sect leader not going to do anything about him?”
Members of the Hagios Sect were dissatisfied with James’ behavior.
Even so, many gathered at the mountain gate to entertain themselves. Some even deliberately handed their admission tickets to
James and passed through the mountain gate to taunt those unwilling to compromise.
James’ action aroused a lot of anger.
Many were furious that the sect leader refused to take action. Some eventually went to the sect’s elders to complain.
One of the elders could no longer tolerate James’ behavior and decided to teach him a lesson.
A group of people marched toward the mountain gate. At the forefront of the group was a prestigious elder in charge of the Law
Enforcement Hall. Following behind him were several furious disciples.
The elder shouted from afar, ‘You’re going overboard, Forty- nine! Who gave you the courage to block our mountain gate?”
His voice was like muffled thunder, causing pain in James’ ears.
“It’s the elder of the Law Enforcement Hall.”
“It’s over for Forty-nine.”
“The lightest punishment he can get is being expelled from the sect. The worst is his cultivation base being abolished.”
The disciples around the mountain gate gloated.
“The Quasi Bliss Rank?” James quickly sensed the elder’s cultivation rank.
The elder’s cultivation rank resembled when Xayvion had just left seclusion.
If it were in the past, James would have been wary.
However, he was not afraid anymore. He was practically invincible as long as his opponent was not at the Transcendental Bliss
Rank.
