The Almighty Dragon General Chapter 5917
"Haven't I trained diligently all this while?" Truett's voice was shaking. “Have I not done everything well enough?"
"No." Yegor stared into Truett's eyes. "As Yegor Sadler's son, you need to work harder than everyone else. You need to have
exceptional powers but keep a low profile. That would prove that you did not misuse your status as Skynet's young master to
have things go your way."
"Your ego and arrogance grew as others kept heaping praises on you. Those are the very things that are stopping you from
improving in your cultivation. They also limit you from seeing our worlds and your surroundings objectively."
"Think about it. How long have you been stuck on the Yuraeceon Daelm Rank's Fifth Tribulation?"
"All you ever cared about back then was to find more battle opponents or to look for superb signature skills. Yet, you completely
overlooked the importance of improving your mental fortitude."
Yegor stood up and let out a sigh.
"However, mental fortitude plays a huge part in the leveling-up of the Yuraeceon Daelm Rank cultivators, especially during the
later stages." Yegor looked at him. "You must let go of those arrogant, egotistical thoughts that are holding you back. With a calm
and humble heart, you will be able to achieve more improvements."
He continued, "That's why I've agreed to let James defeat you in the battle. You shouldn't blame him. It was all my idea."
"How could I blame him?" Truett sighed. "It's my fault that my powers and cultivation are not good enough."
"You still don't get it." Yegor tapped lightly on Truett's forehead. "The problem lies not with your cultivation but in your mental
fortitude."
"If you don't change your mindset, you will never be able to defeat James even if he teaches you all his signature skills and
knowledge. That's because you are not as humble and steadfast as he is."
Truett heaved a deep breath. "What do I do now, then?"
"As I said, return to the Timaeus Sect right away." Yegor replied, "Follow James and train diligently. Forget all about those
impractical titles and focus on leveling up from the Yuraeceon Xaelm Rank's Seventh Tribulation."
Truett fell silent. In his opinion, he would not be able to do much even if he returned to the Timaeus Sect with his current level of
power.
“You still don't want to go?" Yegor arched his brow. “Well, James is about to join the Timaeus Sect's test and hopefully earn the
chance to explore Forladtt Land. You've heard of the Forladtt Land before, right?"
Truett's eyes shone with excitement. “Forladtt Land?! Timaeus Sect is planning to send their members to Forladtt Land?"
Yegor smirked. “Are you finally motivated now?"
Truett responded, “We may come across valuable treasures or great opportunities in a place like the Forladtt Land."
“Remember this. James may be lower in terms of his cultivation rank. However, he surpasses you when it comes to matters of
mental fortitude, knowledge, and perseverance." Yegor reminded him.
“It'll only benefit you to learn alongside him. Moreover, I have high hopes for you. I'll hand over Skynet to you in the future. You
can't possibly rely solely on battling others to raise Skynet's reputation, right?"
Truett nodded as he got to his feet. “Don't worry, Dad. I may not fully understand why you are asking me to do this yet, but I know
that you only wish for me to improve. I'll meet with James and follow him to the Forladtt Land for sure."
Truett bowed slightly and walked out of the room.
As he watched Truett's receding figure, Yegor poured himself a cup of Qhairos again.
A faint smile hung on his face. “Finally, there's someone who can keep him grounded."
Then, Yegor downed the liquor in a gulp.
