“No way. How is this even possible? We've been researching the inscriptions for
thousands of entrapochs but haven't the slightest clue of what they mean. He just
arrived but is already about to completely decipher the inscriptions in the first
secret room?" Yrian muttered to himself and questioned whether he was
hallucinating the entire thing.
Yrian quickly rubbed his eyes, but the sight before him became faster. James
quickly absorbed the inscriptions, and it even caused a gush of wind to form.
"How?" Yrian stood in shock, and his wine gourd fell to the ground.
"Is this the Terrastride Phantom?!! With this speed, it'd be a miracle if one could
even touch him."
Just after he finished speaking, he discovered that James had disappeared. He
exclaimed, "Did he go invisible?"
The next moment, Yrian felt a light rap on the shoulder. He immediately turned
around but found nothing.
Slightly frightened by the situation, Yrian asked tentatively, "Ha...are you invisible
now, Chosen One?"
Suddenly, he felt another tap on the shoulder from behind him.
Yrian reacted almost immediately. He turned around and reached out but still
missed. However, this time, he saw an afterimage flashing before his eyes.
"This is interesting!" Yrian suddenly leaped into the air, and a black light burst out
from his body, permeating the entire room.
The room instantly turned pitch black, and it was hard to see.
Yrian laughed, "Haha! You have nowhere to hide now, right?"
In the next second, a purple-gold figure flashed through the darkness and rapidly
circled Yrian.
Yrian could only see countless purple-gold afterimages around him but could not
identify the actual body. He quickly summoned countless illusory hands and
reached out. Unfortunately, he only caught a few afterimages, which immediately
shattered upon contact.
He shouted, "This is fun! It seems I'll have to show some real skills today."
After speaking, he stretched out his hand, and Marciais Power gushed out. As
the loud rumbling sound spread, the countless purple-gold afterimages were
dispersed.
Yrian instantly heard James spitting out blood from the right corner of the room.
He quickly dispersed his Supernatural Power and spotted James leaning against
a wall.
"You're a powerhouse with an Eight-Star Combat Power, Sir! I only have a Five-
Star Combat Power!"
James grumbled, then fell to the ground.
Yrian hurriedly dashed over, caught him, and slowly brought him to the ground.
“Here! Have some!" Yrian opened his wine gourd and poured a mouthful of the
Chaos Absinthe into James’ mouth.
James coughed a few times and gradually regained consciousness.
YYrian smiled and said, "Not bad. With your current speed, I cannot catch up
without using my Supernatural Art, the Desolate Abyss."
James said helplessly, "There's a disparity in our cultivation strength. You
defeated me with just one attack!"
Yrian shook his head and said, "You're wrong. With how fast you were moving
just now if you were to activate the Third Marciais Combat Form and Curse
Magic, you'd be able to Kill six-star powerhouses in the blink of an eye. You could
even fight an opponent with a Six-Star Combat Power.
"You only lost because your proficiency in the Terrastride Phantom isn't mature
yet. Plus, you didn't use full strength.
James frowned and asked, "Terrastride Phantom? I thought this was called the
Terrastride Step."
