The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 680
William was well aware of that, and he instructed his assistant to make a cup of hot coffee before he went to his desk, “I’ve
talked to your assistant about the project earlier, do you still need to go over the detailed documents?”
He handed over the documents and pushed them in front of Brittany.
Brittany had already looked over the details before coming to the office. She was quite familiar with the project as she already
had an eye on it, “Mr. Dillon, given the current situation, our odds of securing the project if we collaborate aren’t too promising.”
In the entire A country, there was no shortage of big real estate corporations.
They all combined couldn’t even rival the subsidiaries of Grandeur Capital.
“I know,” William also knew that they were at a disadvantage. That’s why he wanted to collaborate with Brittany, “But five years
ago, you managed to beat the Field family to secure the project. You did that once; you can do it again. If we can develop this
piece of land together, we can reap substantial profits in the next few years, and...” William was very serious about his work, “I
heard that Grandeur Capital is also interested in this land. It seems like this land is indeed in high demand.” Brittany pressed her
brow, “I’ve gone through the data. We can follow the previous plan and start crafting a preliminary bidding plan.”
William agreed with Brittany’s suggestion and called in people from the design department to discuss the plan.
Meanwhile, Carla, holding a lunch box, walked into Dillion Group.
Coincidentally, a secretary who was coming down from an errand saw Carla arriving.
“Where’s William?”
Carla knew the secretary, and she directly intercepted her, demanding to know.
“Mr. Dillion is in his office,” The secretary’s tone was neutral, “Mrs. Dillion, this way, please.”
As for Carla, the secretary felt that she wasn’t a match for William.
Firstly, William was such a prestigious figure, but now he was being slandered and even forced to marry a woman he didn’t love..
Secondly, Carla was a typical spoiled rich girl. She behaved well in front of William, but she was actually bossy in front of them.

Compared to her, Brittany was a lot more approachable.
Carla glanced at the secretary, handed over the lunch box, and the secretary took it and pressed the elevator button.
“How long have you worked under William?”
The secretary calculated, “Seven years.”
She had been with William since her graduation. She was previously in a jewelry design studio, and then she moved with William
to Dillion Group.
“Are you married?”
Carla turned her head, noticing that the secretary was quite pretty. While the secretary was not as attractive as herself, she
worried that this young woman being. around William might cause trouble and make her a laughingstock!
The secretary felt insulted, and she didn’t want to disclose that matter, “Mrs. Dillion, that’s my personal business.”
“So, you’re not married,”
Carla was certain about that, “Since you’ve been with William for so many years, you should know your place. Don’t always
covet things that aren’t yours, or else, I’ll make you regret it!”
The secretary was speechless.
She only respected and admired William; there was no romantic feeling involved.
“Mrs. Dillion, you’re overthinking things. I have a boyfriend.”
Carla didn’t care, so what if she had a boyfriend? Brittany was married, but she still had a complicated relationship with William,
didn’t she?
Upon thinking about that, Carla became agitated and curiously asked, “Lately, has Brittany. been here?”
“Ms. Dustin and Mr. Dillion are in a meeting, discussing an upcoming collaborative project.”
“What did you say!”

Carla became livid hearing that, “Brittany is collaborating with Dillion Group?”
Upon seeing Carla’s furious reaction, the secretary realized that she had said something wrong and quickly said, “Mrs. Dillion,
please don’t be mad. This is something they have just started discussing.”
Ding!
The elevator arrived.
Carla stormed out of the elevator, and with a loud bang, she flung open the office door. The secretary turned pale and trembled
in fear.
She was in trouble; she definitely shouldn’t have said that!
