The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 469
She shot Jade a look. “Why can’t I be here? Is this hospital yours or something?”
Jade was taken aback. “You...”
Allison looked at Jade. “Didn’t you break up with Dr. Dylan? You’re a cardiologist, so why are you hanging around the nephrology
ward? Isn’t the cardiology ward in a different building?”
Jade stuttered, “I...What’s it to you where I go?”
“Well, what’s it to you if I’m here? Dr. Jade, don’t you think you’re sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong?” Allison turned
around, a bit speechless.
Jade stomped her foot and called her back, “Allison, don’t think for a second I don’t know why you’re here. You’re after Dr. Dylan,
aren’t you? Did Dylan dump me because of you?”
Jade blurted this out loud. There were many people in the ward, and all eyes turned to them at her outburst.
Allison pursed her lips slightly. She felt a bit helpless and was just glad that Emma wasn’t there to scold her again.
“Dr. Jade, you’ve got quite the imagination.” Allison was wearing light makeup and sunglasses. Through the lenses, she could
see the jealousy in Jade’s eyes.
Jade retorted, “I have an imagination? If it wasn’t for you, why would Dylan break up with me? Everyone knows we were a great
couple at the hospital. He had no reason to break up with me. The only factor is you stirring up trouble between us!”
“Dr. Jade, you sure are confident. Did it ever occur to you that maybe he just doesn’t like you?” Allison really didn’t want to keep
arguing with Jade. “Why don’t you ask Dr. Dylan if he likes you? Arguing with me is pointless. I have a boyfriend, and we’re very
happy.”
Jade blanched, and more people started to gather. A nurse walked over. “Allison, you should go...” She whispered, seemingly
aware of Jade’s tendency to make a scene. “Just ignore her.”
Allison nodded, ready to leave, when she heard Jade call out, “Grace, you’re Allison’s mother, right? Why don’t you step in? Your
daughter is driving a wedge between me and my boyfriend, seducing him. You need to do something.”

Grace, who had been inside, came out at Jade’s call. She looked stunned, an IV drip in her hand. Allison was shocked that Jade,
a doctor, would disregard medical ethics like this. She clenched her fists and slowly turned around.
Grace looked at Allison, guilt in her eyes. She walked over and said, “Allie.”
Allison said, “You s
should go back to your room.”
Jade began to mock, “What, you can’t answer?”
The doctors and nurses began to gather, discussing the matter. A nurse hurried over to disperse the crowd. “Move along,
everyone back to your rooms. Please stop crowding around here.””
Allison called a nurse to take Grace back to her room. Grace watched Allison leave, worry in her eyes. But at the moment, she
didn’t feel like she had the right to stand by Allison’s side.
