Chapter 1005
Elowen was scatterbrained at the worst possible moment in front of Lysander, no less. If he caught on to what she was up to,
Thalassa’s plan to delete the video was going to hit some serious turbulence.
Elowen glanced over at Dorian, watching as his playful wink morphed into a serious gaze, then turned to Atticus, her little
brother’s brow furrowed in concern.
She couldn’t grasp why everyone was so somber, and it was making her feel uneasy.
She looked up innocently at Lysander and wanted to ask what was going on, worrying she might have done something wrong.
Lifting her eyes, she saw Lysander’s icy, handsome face. His presence was stern and intimidating, an almost tangible pressure
emanating from him.
Elowen’s luminous eyes widened and blinked, her long lashes fluttering like butterfly wings as she finally caught up with the
situation.
She had promised her mother to keep a secret, not to let Daddy know that Atticus had been helping with Mom’s work stuff.
And she had just blurted it out.
Meeting Lysander’s scrutinizing gaze, Elowen’s sweet little voice tried to clarify. “Daddy, I didn’t say anything just now, didn’t say
how Mom’s still clueless about computers and needs Atticus to help with work stuff... You didn’t hear a thing.”
With that, her chubby little hands covered her mouth, signaling that her lips were sealed.
Dorian felt helpless and speechless.
If it hadn’t been for Mom’s quick thinking in confusing Elowen’s thoughts, the secret
would’ve been out.
Atticus was quiet, his sister’s attempt at clarification was pretty much a giveaway. Thankfully, she didn’t remember the specifics
of what Mom had told her to keep secret that morning.
Sophia was dazed, silent, and unaware of what was going on.
Her clueless and cute expression was endearing.
Finally, Lysander’s imposing aura seemed to relax a bit.
His deep gaze shifted to Thalassa, who had just let out a sigh of relief, only to catch Lysander’s eye, and her heart tightened
once again.
Lysander spoke in a deep voice, “Let’s get the kids home.”

Thalassa was momentarily stunned then quickly nodded, “Yes, I’ll take them.”
As she reached for Atticus’ hand to lead him to her car, Lysander’s large palm enveloped her wrist. His rough skin disclosed a
powerful grip.
Thalassa’s heart skipped a beat as she looked up into his domineering eyes.
“Your car can be driven by the chauffeur. You all will ride with me.” Lysander stated decisively.
“I want to ride in Mommy’s car. I want Mommy to drive.” Atticus piped up, tilting his little head back to gaze at Lysander with
innocent eyes, making his case.
“You’ll be with your mom in my car, isn’t that enough?” Lysander countered.
“But I want to be alone with mommy, to teach her about the software...” Atticus’ voice trailed off, lacking confidence.
He wasn’t actually going to teach her software, but rather use his hacking skills to keep something from Dad, which was why he
sounded unsure as he said “software”.
To Lysander, it seemed Atticus was worried he’d mock Thalassa and was being protective
of her.
“No one will say anything, go ahead and teach.” Lysander said.
Then, turning to Thalassa, who was trying to avoid his gaze, he added, “Am I so
unreasonable? Learning is nothing to be ashamed of.”
Thalassa felt a jolt in her chest, lifting her eyes incredulously to Lysander.
