Chapter 1011
The Draven Group was the largest antique consortium in the region. Seeking their assistance would be the most convenient and
swift way to find what Joshua needed.
Once they were apprised of Joshua’s quest, the Draven Group immediately sprang into action, and organized an event to gather
an array of fine gemstones at the hotel for display, all to facilitate Joshua’s search for that particular jade bead.

“It’s alright. We’ll organize another one when the opportunity arises.” Richard said, taking the setback in stride. “Today would be
just for Mr. Joshua and Lysander to catch up. Richard, the suave young proprietor of the curio shop, was in his element when it
came to brokering relationships between businessmen, a skill he had mastered.
“Ha, indeed.” Joshua chuckled. “It’s been a while since Lysander and I last met. I should pay a visit to your grandfather at the
Sinclair estate someday.”
Lysander, cloaking his typically frosty demeanor, raised his glass toward Joshua with a nod, “You’re welcome anytime.” he said.
“Ha, excellent.” Joshua replied with a hearty laugh. He clinked glasses with Lysander and took a sip.
Lysander, breaking his usual custom of downing his drink in one gulp, also took a mere sip and set the glass down.
“We’re out of drinks; I’ll go fetch another bottle.” Richard observed, ready to rise as the glasses emptied.
“Mr. Richard, allow me.” Thalassa interjected, quickly standing. Without waiting for a response, she made her way to the door
with such determination that Richard found himself settling back into his seat.
He continued to discuss with Joshua and Lysander the efforts being made at the cocktail party gathering to locate the jade
pearls.
“Mr. Joshua, please rest assured. Now that the Draven Group is on the case, we will find it for you for sure.” Richard assured him
with confidence.
“I trust in your family’s capabilities.” Joshua responded.
Lysander inquired, “Are these pearl of great importance to you, Mr. Joshua?”
After all, why else would Joshua go to such lengths, moving heaven and earth in search of a bead?
If it were merely for collecting, there were plenty of other precious stones worth pursuing. He could easily forsake the pearls for
other treasures.
“Yes, it holds special significance for me,” Joshua admitted, his gaze dropping

momentarily as he took a shallow sip from his glass, masking the emotions swirling in his eyes.
Lysander sensed the shift in Joshua’s mood, chose not to pry further, and simply joined him in a drink.
Thalassa left the private room and stepped into the main event space where guests moved with an air of grace and ease.
Surrounded by the elegant crowd of well-dressed men and women, Thalassa felt out of place as she knew no one at all.
She glanced briefly at the scene and then headed toward the liquor cabinet.
“Wow, who is that?” someone exclaimed. “Dressed so formally, so alluring!”
“Did she wander into the wrong event? Is this really the attire for the scene?”
Thalassa had barely taken a few steps when she heard murmurs and sighs of admiration echoing through the hall.
Following the sounds, her eyes landed on a woman making her entrance.
The woman wore a rosy gown; its hem trailing along the floor with a daring slit on the side that revealed a flash of her alabaster
thigh with every step.
The strapless design featured a bold V-cut that displayed much of her breasts.
It was a gown that perfectly blended grace with sensuality. Its revealing cut highlighted the woman’s voluptuous figure to full
effect.
Her arrival instantly stirred the hall into a flutter of excitement.
