Chapter 1106
“Seriously, what difference does it make if I’m mad or not? Does it change anything for you?” Thalassa stood before Lysander,
her breath uneven with emotion, as she laid her feelings bare.
Her words were more than just a display of anger; they were the stark truth.
Even after the misunderstanding about the paternity of her unborn child was cleared up, and it was confirmed that the child was
indeed his, Lysander hadn’t bothered to offer a single explanation or an apology.
It was as if suspecting her, treating her with disdain was his right, and even after the truth came to light, he remained aloof,
untouchable, acting as if someone like her didn’t deserve an apology.
Whether she was angry or not, he remained on his high horse, seemingly unaffected by her emotions.
Thalassa felt wronged, swallowing her pride like a bitter pill, without even the right to claim justice for herself.
If she couldn’t stand up to him, couldn’t she at least escape?
Lysander’s gaze was fixed on her as she stood there, her eyes a stormy sea of defiance and fury, her chest rising and falling with
each breath- an embodiment of hurt and indignation.
Casually resting his hand on the table, his eyes never left her. “You and Callum were getting too cozy for my liking,” he said. “You
saw him behind my back that day, and then there was a box of consumed birth control pill at home. You kept the whole thing
about birth control from me. After seeing Callum, you were all sneaky, and then you ran off with him. I tried to trust you, but I just
couldn’t convince myself.”
For the past few days, Lysander had been seething with anger, his temper frayed.
Furious with Thalassa for running off with Callum, he was even more incensed that she chose to endure suffering rather than
expose Bruce’s kidnapping scheme!
She seemed resolute in shielding Bruce, driven by thoughts of their father-daughter bond, despite his scoundrel nature – less
than human in his deeds.
Bruce had never fulfilled any paternal duties; he never played the part of a father beyond sharing DNA. Yet, she defended him
fiercely!
How could Lysander accept her as his companion when she was so loyal to Bruce?
He and Bruce shared a hatred that could not coexist under the same sky. If Thalassa distanced herself from Bruce, cut ties,
Lysander might have been able to slowly conquer her heart and consider marriage.

Chapter 1106
But with her deep bond with Bruce, even if Lysander won her heart, how could he marry
her?
If he married her knowing she would suffer to protect Bruce’s crimes, it would be an unforgivable disrespect to his own parents.
All these thoughts tormented Lysander, making him restless. He hadn’t reached out to her in days.
However, when the hospital informed him of Thalassa’s discharge and Ethan mentioned that she had gone to work that day, his
concern flared.
The realization that Thalassa, who had almost miscarried, was not resting at home but working fueled his worry.
His anxiety overtook his anger, and despite his reluctance to see her, the thought of her fragile health and their unborn child
brought him to her.
At Lysander’s words, Thalassa, still in the midst of her anger, looked at him in
astonishment.
She had never heard Lysander speak so extensively; his words were usually brief and
authoritative.
But now, he had actually spoken a lengthy piece to her without pausing.
He was explaining why he had doubted the paternity of her child.
Thalassa was taken aback. Had he really just explained himself?
The proud and cold Lysander, who usually dismissed others without a second thought, had actually taken the time to offer her an
explanation?
