Chapter 1108
Thalassa stood frozen, her gaze locked on Lysander’s pocket, unable to ignore the buzzing of a cell phone.
Lysander’s sharp eyes darted to his phone as he fished it out of his pocket. His brows, usually as straight as an arrow, furrowed
almost imperceptibly. He handed the phone to Thalassa, saying, “Take it.”
“Me?” Thalassa pointed at herself in disbelief.
This was Lysander’s own phone. He was asking her to answer it?
Were they really that close now that she could just pick up his calls?
The people he knew were either business moguls or blue-blooded aristocrats.
But she didn’t know any of them. What on earth would she say?
While Thalassa hesitated, Lysander urged her, “Hurry up.”
The phone continued to vibrate in his steadfast grip.
Seeing the persistent vibrations, Thalassa realized she had to act fast or the call would disconnect. Lysander’s demeanor was
unmistakable. She took the phone from his hand, only to discover it was a video call, not just a voice call.
And the caller ID read Fitch!
A video call from Fitch to Lysander?
Could it be the kids calling?
Understanding dawned on Thalassa in an instant, and her hesitation turned into excitement as she pressed the answer button.
The screen filled with the big, bright eyes of not one but four children, their long lashes fluttering adorably.
What was this?
All four kids huddled in front of the phone, eyes wide with anticipation?
“Atticus, Dorian, Elowen, Sophia, what are you guys up to? Pressing your faces against the camera to give your dad a fright?”
Thalassa’s lips curled into a smile as her tone shifted to one of warmth and tenderness.
No matter how upset she was, her irritation melted away at the sight of the children, replaced by a glowing maternal affection
and gentle patience.
“Wow, it’s Mommy!” Elowen’s voice was filled with glee, her eyes going wide with surprise, making them look even more like
shiny marbles on the screen.

“It’s really Mommy!” Dorian’s voice echoed Elowen’s excitement. “Wow, Fitch didn’t lie to us, finding Daddy means finding
Mommy too.”
They had called Lysander hoping he would lead them to their mother, but they hadn’t expected to see her face as soon as they
dialed his number. It was a delightful surprise.
“Mommy, um, I’ve missed you so much.” Sophia’s big, round eyes brimmed with tears as she pouted, her voice quivering on the
edge of a cry.
Her pitiful look tugged at the heartstrings.
Seeing Sophia on the verge of tears, Thalassa’s heart clenched with empathy. She quickly reassured her, “Don’t cry, Sophia.
Mommy’s here. Mommy missed you all too.”
She had been staying in the hospital for days and had indeed missed her children terribly. Even though Lysander hadn’t brought
them to the hospital, and she was too stubborn to go to the Royal Estates, her heart was always with her four little ones.
“Daddy’s a big meanie! He said if we were good in school, we’d get to see Mommy. We’ve been good for days, and he still hasn’t
taken us to see you,” Atticus took the phone, holding it at arm’s length so that all their faces could be clearly seen on the screen.
His young brow was furrowed with indignation.
Thalassa was taken aback by Atticus’ outspoken criticism of Lysander, and she glanced at Lysander apprehensively, worried that
Atticus might have upset him.
But Lysander stood there, an aura of calm around him, his deep eyes fixed on her.
Thalassa gave him a nervous smile and said, “He’s just a kid...”
