The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 683
David stepped up and reported, “Mr. Sinclair, it seems Faye got wind of our plans and has fled to Phoenix Mountain.”
Robert insisted that Evelyn was the one pushing Grandma Sybil. But after several days of intense questioning, he finally broke
free under the immense
pressure.
It was Faye who had bribed Robert, insisting that he needed to frame Evelyn for hurting Grandma Sybil the day Evelyn came.
When Evelyn had gone to help Sophia, Grandma Sybil, who was worried for Sophia, had risen from the couch. Robert, acting
under Faye’s orders, purposefully swept near Sybil’s feet and caused her to stumble over the foot of the couch and fall to the
ground.
Robert had followed Faye’s instructions. He framed Evelyn for pushing Grandma Sybil and causing her to fall. Since the living
room didn’t have any surveillance and no one else was there to witness the incident, Robert thought his plan would work.
What Robert didn’t anticipate was the unfortunate passing of Grandma Sybil due to the fall. As the gravity of the situation
escalated, Robert became more scared and stuck to his lie that it was Evelyn who had pushed Grandma Sybil.
What he didn’t know was that Sophia, who had fallen near the staircase, had seen that Grandma Sybil was tripped by the couch.
Robert thought he could get away with it by dismissing Sophia’s account as a child’s tale, but unbeknownst to him, Payne had
already discovered that Grandma Sybil was not pushed. All the evidence thus pointed back to Robert.
The crux of the case was to get Robert to confess. He was defiant at first but eventually, he couldn’t withstand the intense
interrogation and told the truth.
On the day Faye came to the Sinclair family for dinner, she had left Robert her contact information. Later, she contacted Robert
and bribed him to frame Evelyn for hurting Grandma Sybil no matter what.
Once Robert’s testimony was out, Lysander took his team to find Faye. Somehow, Faye had been tipped off and had fled in
advance.
Lysander, with his piercing gaze, looked toward the steep cliff and commanded, “Go up and get her!”
With that, he took the lead, treading long strides towards the mountain.

Faye’s actions had crossed the line and became something unforgivable. Lysander was determined to catch her and make her
pay for her deeds.
His bodyguards and David followed him up the cliff.
The cliff was steep and challenging for ordinary people, but for Lysander, it was a walk in the park due to his training.
He led his team up the rugged mountain path.
Thalassa was sitting on a rock. Her breath was uneven, and her body was trembling. A gale was blowing in the aftermath of the
thunderstorm, threatening to kick her little figure off the cliff.
She held on to a small tree next to the steps to steady herself.
Suddenly, she saw a figure quickly ascending the mountain. The person was walking at a quick speed, evidently well-trained.
Thalassa felt a glimmer of hope and watched the person intently.
As the figure approached, Thalassa realized it was a woman. She pleaded, “Hello, friend, can you help me?”
The woman stopped in front of her and turned to look at her. Thalassa recognized her as Faye.
Faye, fully equipped with climbing gear and dressed in rugged outdoor clothing, looked agile and prepared.
Thalassa was confused. Why was Faye on Phoenix Mountain?
While Thalassa was observing Faye, Faye was doing the same thing. Recognizing Thalassa, Faye appeared surprised and
resentful.
Suddenly, she seemed to hear a noise coming from behind and hurriedly walked away.
“Hey, Faye, I twisted my ankle. Can you help me?” Thalassa called out, desperate for assistance. Finally encountering a person,
if she let Faye go, she didn’t know when she’d be able to get off the mountain. With a storm approaching and darkness falling,
she was genuinely scared.
