The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 825
Then another worker, visibly shaken, confessed, “It was our former boss, Leopold, who ordered me to add phosphorous in the
mobile phones. He promised me nothing would go wrong...”
These two workers were among those summoned by Leopold that fateful day.
Leopold couldn’t hold it in any longer and blurted out, “Stop, stop it! Don’t play it anymore!”
His heart pounded frantically as he tried to halt the video playback like a madman.
David glanced at Lysander for guidance. Catching Lysander’s subtle nod, David shut off the video subsequently.
Leopold was in a state of hysteria; his breath was ragged, the veins in his temples throbbing, and sweat beading on his
forehead. He glared at Lysander with a trembling voice, “I just wanted to cause some chaos. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone!”
His cheeks shook as he clenched his teeth. His eyes were bloodshot and filled with remorse.
His initial intention was merely to stir up some chaos and pin the blame on the Sinclair group, making Lysander a target for public
outrage and causing discord among the group’s top brass. His hope was that the pressure would force Lysander to step down.
Only if Lysander was no longer the CEO of the Sinclair group and stripped of his power could he stop controlling Thalassa.
Only then could Leopold fight for Thalassa’s right to make her own decisions and to escape Lysander’s control, choosing the one
that she wanted to be with.
But instead, the explosion claimed the lives of two workers.
Leopold was tormented by guilt. He knew he had made a terrible mistake, but he hadn’t achieved the freedom he had sought for
Thalassa.
He couldn’t let himself fall now.
Watching Leopold’s distressed state, Lysander’s voice broke the silence, “I believe you didn’t mean to hurt anyone. That’s why
this evidence is in front of you now.”
Instead of at a police station.

If this evidence were to land on a police detective’s desk, could Leopold still be sitting here unscathed?
“You can confess your intentions now. Only I can remedy this situation, you know that.” Lysander’s deep eyes bored into
Leopold, his expression grave and solemn.
This was Leopold’s chance to turn a new leaf.
As a family, Lysander wouldn’t stand by and let him continue down this destructive path.
Leopold met Lysander’s oceanic gaze. His heart clenched painfully and his fists shook from the force of his grip. His eyes were
red, his cheeks trembling as he faced Lysander.
He understood what Lysander was implying. He needed to confess everything and to reveal the true reason behind his actions.
Lysander wanted to be his reliance.
But if he relied on Lysander and became his entourage, how could he fight for Thalassa’s freedom?
Thalassa would continue to be controlled by Lysander, trapped by his side as his lover.
If he admitted his mistake now, surrendering to Lysander and letting him sort everything out, what would have been the point of
everything he had done?
Fighting against the pain, Leopold rose abruptly. His cheeks trembled as he addressed Lysander, “Yes, you should be the one to
clean up this mess, because it’s all the Sinclair group’s fault!”
With that, he strode out of the office.
David watched in surprise as Leopold exited the room. He turned to Lysander and asked tentatively, “Mr. Sinclair, should we
hand this evidence over to the police?”,
