The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 862
Lysander fixed his intense gaze on her, a chilling aura surrounding him.
Thalassa felt a knot of dread in her stomach under his penetrating and inky stare.
Ever since she discovered that Leopold’s death was linked to Lysander, she’d been desperate to escape from him, always ready
for a fight.
But after having a meal with Hertha today, she realized she couldn’t rashly confront Lysander. Angering him would bring
misfortune to those around her.
Not only did she need to escape from Lysander, but she also had to take the kids with her. Lysander was too sharp; he would
surely see through her intentions. So, she had to devise a long-term plan.
She couldn’t let Lysander see through her thoughts.
“Don’t you trust me?” She asked, her heart pounding under Lysander’s deep and inscrutable gaze even before he could voice
his doubts. “No, I don’t trust you!” Lysander admitted bluntly, his piercing gaze locked on her, not missing a single change in her
expression. “Wandering aimlessly on the streets, nearly getting hit by a car without even realizing. Your temper suddenly flaring,
refusing to return to the Royal Estates. With all these unusual behaviors, and you tell me it’s just because you want to catch up
with Hertha?”
Lysander’s grip on her chin loosened slightly, but he didn’t let go.
He knew she was deeply affected by Leopold’s death, but she had only been out of sorts for the past few days, not rebellious like
today. “You’re right, I don’t want to go back to the Royal Estates. I don’t want to go back to you! I want to get away from you! I
want nothing to do with you! But I don’t want to lose the kids. I love them, and I want to give them a complete childhood, so I
have to put up with being around you!”
Thalassa bit her lip, her breathing rapid and her voice emotional as she spoke her mind under his intimidating gaze.
She knew she couldn’t hide from him, so she might as well tell him!
That way, he wouldn’t be suspicious.
Lysander was taken aback, his deep gaze dark and gloomy as he stared at her.

She wanted to get away from him, have nothing to do with him?
Being around him was a compromise?
Now that Leopold was dead, she couldn’t even pretend to have feelings for him, could she?
Lysander’s face was as cold as an impending storm, his eyes sharp and icy, his emotions suppressed, making his breath heavy
and harsh. “If you like compromising so much, then compromise for the rest of your life!”
In other words, he wouldn’t let her leave!
Even if it meant compromising, she had to stay by his side!
As Lysander finished his words, he released Thalassa’s chin, his gaze as icy as frost as he looked out the window.
Thalassa’s heart clenched, her breath hitching. She understood Lysander’s words. She had told him bluntly that she wanted to
leave him, partly to prevent him from suspecting her determination.
On the other hand, she wanted to test his reaction.
What if he was willing to let her go?
But the result left her feeling desperate and suffocated.
He wouldn’t let her leave. Even if it meant a life of compromise, she had to stay by his side.
Thalassa truly didn’t understand why Lysander was so insistent on her staying by his side. He wouldn’t marry her. Instead, he
just wanted her to be his woman!
Was his possessiveness really that strong?
Couldn’t he just let her go and find another woman?
