The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 909
Lysander’s gaze sharpened under the moonlight, his eyes shimmering like a pond’s surface at dusk. He stared intently at
Thalassa’s face, which remained calm, her eyes steady and unwavering.
Her words pleased him, and the icy aura that surrounded him began to recede slightly.
But she had lied before, and he wasn’t about to take her at her word so easily.
“So, you claim you were guarding against me? Is that it?”
Thalassa knew he wouldn’t trust her without proof. “If you don’t believe me, I can show you the birth control pills I bought. They
haven’t been touched. If I had something going on with Callum, why would I buy pills and not take them? I bought them to have
on hand, and like I said, I’ll be at the Royal Estates tomorrow night.”
The implication of her going to the Royal Estates with birth control pills in tow, was clear.
A shadow passed over Lysander’s eyes.
“Let go of me so I can get up. I’ll show you the box of pills,” Thalassa said.
Lysander loosened his grip on her chin and stepped back from the bed.
Thalassa slid off the other side of the bed, not even bothering with her shoes, and walked to the door to switch on the light.
The room was flooded with bright light, casting Lysander’s figure into sharp relief. He was dressed in a black shirt and black
pants, with two buttons on the shirt undone, exposing his strong collarbones. The sleeves were casually rolled up, unveiling his
lean, muscular arms.
His face was stern, his presence radiating a masculine intensity. Just looking at him was enough to inspire fear and set hearts
racing.
“Shall we go downstairs together so I can show you?” Thalassa asked.
With a hooded glance, Lysander moved forward.
Thalassa turned and left the room, taking the lead as they went downstairs.

At the living room coffee table, she opened’a drawer and pulled out a box of birth control pills, then turned and handed it to
Lysander. “See? The packaging hasn’t even been opened.”
Holding the box aloft, Thalassa tried to steady the panic in her heart.
Earlier that day, when she went to the pharmacy to buy the pills, there was a buy-one-get-one-free offer. She bought one and
was given two.
Evelyn had taken the other box, while this one remained unopened, its plastic film still intact.
Lysander glanced at the unopened box of pills in her hand, but his icy demeanor didn’t soften.
He sat down on the couch, his dark, piercing gaze fixing on her. “Come here.”
His command was not a request and left no room for discussion.
Thalassa lowered her eyes and, holding the box of pills, slowly approached, taking a seat beside him.
Lysander turned toward her, his index finger lifting her chin as he looked at her with a chilly expression. “You’re so eager to move
into the house he left for you and still can’t let him go, huh?”
Thalassa’s pupils contracted, not just because of his words but also because, in the corner of her eye, she caught sight of
another box of opened birth control pills beneath the pillow behind Lysander.
After giving Evelyn her dose, Thalassa had carelessly placed the box on the couch, and Evelyn had adjusted the pillow,
inadvertently hiding the box beneath it. Now, with Lysander leaning back, the pillow was squeezed, revealing a gap and exposing
the hidden box.
As Lysander’s gaze followed hers to the pillow behind him, Thalassa gasped in alarm, her heart pounding wildly.
