Chapter 964
“I... I got my hands on some cash today, grabbed her, and took her to a cabin up at Crest Summit. But then the boss called in
another guy, and I handed Thalassa over to him. After that, I came down the mountain, no clue where he took her.”
The chubby man was sweating bullets of pain, his voice trembling as he spilled the beans.
“Who’s your boss, and who did you hand her over to?” the bodyguard pressed.
“My boss is Daniel. The guy I handed her off to, I don’t know him, just that he looked like a bookworm, a real snake in the grass.”
“You’re holding back on me!” the bodyguard growled, his grip on the man’s wrist tightening in warning.
“I ain’t lying, I swear! I’ve told you everything!” the chubby man shrieked in terror.
With a sickening “snap,” his pleas were cut short.
The chubby man let out a squeal like a pig, agony radiating from his now broken wrist.
He collapsed on the ground, convulsing.
Lysander’s icy gaze swept over the scene, “Take him away!”
The bodyguard hoisted the chubby man up from the ground and dragged him off.
“You’re going to lead us to Thalassa. If we don’t find her, you can kiss your life goodbye, got it?” the bodyguard pushed the man
into a car.
Thalassa was ushered into a resort hotel by Bruce. It was off-season, so the guests in the hotel were sparse.
The hotel wasn’t far from the mountain where she’d been snatched. A short drive and they had arrived.
Her hands were still bound behind her back with rope, making it clear she was being coerced; walking through the lobby was out
of the question.
Thalassa had thought to look for a chance to cry for help, but Bruce took her through a back door.
There, someone was waiting to cover for him, clearly an old pal of Bruce’s.
“Bruce, you’ve outdone yourself this time, snagging such a young and pretty thing. Business as usual? You go first, I follow?”
The guy meeting Bruce was roughly the same age, with a shifty look and a lecherous grin.
Hearing his words, Thalassa’s heart sank, and she felt a wave of nausea.
How many women had these two preyed upon together?
Thalassa was filled with dread and disgust.
If Bruce managed to get her into a room, what kind of horror would await her? The thought alone made her shiver with fear.
Her eyes were fierce with defiance and loathing as she glared at the man who had met them.
“Well, well, she’s got fire. I like that. Makes it all the more fun to break ’em in,” the sleazy man said, reaching out to touch
Thalassa’s face.
She couldn’t avoid his touch in time.
Bruce knocked his hand away sternly, “Elliott, this isn’t like the other times. You’re sitting this one out. I’ll wire you two hundred
grand.”
“Two hundred grand?” Elliott looked at Bruce, puzzled, then back at Thalassa.
It was a shame not to get a taste of such a beauty, but there was no helping it.
Two hundred grand was still a sweet deal.
“Alright, two hundred it is. I’ll stay out of it. Get inside,” Elliott stepped aside, making way for them..
Bruce dragged Thalassa in, and right beside the door was the elevator. Without hesitation, he pressed the button.
As the elevator doors slid open, he shoved Thalassa inside.
Her heart raced with panic and fear, the nightmare drawing nearer. What could she do? How could she escape?
The whole setup was clearly premeditated by Bruce; she hadn’t seen a soul or a vehicle anywhere.
Even entering the hotel, there was only that one guy to meet them, and the elevator was empty.

Thalassa wanted to scream for help. Even if there was no one in the elevator, surely there were people elsewhere in the hotel. If
someone heard her cries, she might have a fighting chance.
But before they got out of the car, Bruce had sealed her mouth with duct tape.
It was so tight she couldn’t make a sound.
