Big Novel

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

While Charlie and Zoey flew back on their nonstop flight to Aurous Hill, Hamid also hurried back to the valley encampment in
northern Syria.
At this time, his subordinates were talking about his sudden departure with the female hostage and a stranger no one recognized
that followed Hamid out of the bunker.
This was a heavily guarded military stronghold, it was bizarre that an unknown person would inexplicably appear in the middle of
their camp and then leave with Commander Hamid.
Something like this had never happened before, and everyone was anxiously waiting to understand what had just happened.
Hamid’s deputy went to the cellar in person, wanting to find someone to ask what happened.
However, Faisal and others loyal to Charlie, took advantage of the fact that the cellar had only a narrow entrance with a heavy
iron gate.
They set up defensive positions converging on the choke point and refused to allow anyone entry.
The deputy didn’t expect Faisal would betray them, and in his eagerness he wanted to blow the cellar up.
However, when he thought about the seven remaining hostages who might still be exchanged for a ransom, he temporarily
dismissed the idea.
He did understand that while the cellar was a strong defensive point, it was also a dead end.
At some point Faisal would have to surrender, so he deployed an additional hundred troops to guard the exit with every weapon
aimed at the door, and waited.
A helicopter roared in the sky, making everyone nervous.
Soon the gathered soldiers realized that it was the helicopter Commander Hamid had just left in an hour ago.
But no one knew whether Commander Hamid would step out of the gunship or not once it landed.
The helicopter descended slowly.

When Hamid’s deputy saw that the helicopter was about to land in the crowded yard, he immediately yelled orders to the
surrounding soldiers, “Everyone, get out of the way and make room for the helicopter to land!”
The tightly guarded yard was quickly emptied as soldiers dispersed to make room for the helicopter to land.
Immediately afterwards it began it’s final descent.
After landing, the door to the cabin was thrown open and Hamid jumped out.
Seeing such a large group of armed and anxious soldiers he yelled out, “What’s going on!?”
The deputy hurriedly stepped forward, “Commander! Where did you go? What happened with those two people just now?!”
Hamid replied indifferently, “They’re both my friends, so don’t ask anymore questions about them.”
The deputy quickly changed topics, and said instead, “Commander, Faisal and the others have already defected! These guys are
now in the cellar preparing to fight back! As long as you give the word, we’ll blow open the door, rush in, and capture them!”
“There’s no need!” Hamid said immediately, “Faisal was left behind by me, don’t speculate and act rashly.”
Having said that, he immediately walked towards the entrance of the cellar.
At this time, the deputy suddenly recovered and exclaimed, “Commander, your...how’s your leg...”
Hamid smiled slightly and asked him, “You want to ask why my leg is no longer lame?”
The deputy nodded, while the surrounding soldiers looked on in amazement and horror.
They also realized that Hamid’s left leg had been completely healed as strode away from the helicopter without even the
slightest of limps.
Everyone was extremely curious, wondering what had happened to Hamid.
Hamid continued smiling and said, “My benefactor gave me a magic medicine to heal my leg.
From now on, I will never be a lame again!”

The soldiers all around were completely stunned! A magic drug to cure a lame leg that had been irreversibly damaged!? This
couldn’t be real!
