At a young age, Claudia lost interest in material possessions and wealth when her peers first began to realize their importance.
The tragic death of her family made her to take these things very lightly.
In this life, she didn’t expect to be rich, nor did she pursue a good life or a high social status.
She only hoped to live in a way that respects herself and keeps her heart calm, so that the spirits of her family members in
heaven can feel at ease.
Therefore, when looking at all the majors available, she had no interest in anything else, but archaeology caught her attention.
This was not only because she wanted to learn more about China, but also because she wanted to avoid dealing with too many
people as much as possible.
Archaeologists studied historical sites and cultural relics every day and the major was not popular, which meant that there
weren’t many classmates, which was more in line with her criteria.
So, she made up her mind on the spot to apply for archaeology.
Charlie was also very supportive of this.
He knew that many college students applied for majors that they didn’t necessarily like.
Scores in subjects like culture, music, and physical education had dropped enough, and the same was true for students admitted
to ordinary universities.
If their scores were not high enough, they might not be able to choose their preferred major and might have to settle for
something else, or even compromised and made adjustments.
Claudia, however, clearly knew what she wanted, which was already luckier than most college students.
Seeing that she has made up her mind, Director Ledger immediately nodded and said, “Since you really like archaeology, then
I’ll arrange for you to go to the Department of Archaeology.”
As he said that, he took out a bunch of forms, handed her a pen, and said, “Your qualifications meet our requirements for
recruiting international students, so please fill out these forms accordingly.
The items with asterisks must be filled in, the others can be left blank...”
“I just sent out a batch a few days ago, and the next batch may have to wait for about a week.
I will arrange to mail it to you as soon as possible.”
Claudia nodded and thanked him, “Thank you, your help is much appreciated!”
Director Ledger smiled and said, “My friendship with Mr.Cameron is strong, so there’s no need to thank me for this...”
“If you need any help in the future, just contact me and I’ll take care of it as soon as possible.” He then handed her a business
card with his mobile number on it, “I am available 24/7.”
Claudia thanked him again and began filling out her information.
When she came across the emergency contact section with an asterisk, she paused for a moment, but then decided to leave it
blank for now.
She explained, “Director, can I fill out the emergency contact section later? My godmother and sister have just returned from
Canada and we haven’t had a chance to get a domestic mobile phone number yet.”
