The Charismatic Charlie Wade

As soon as Maria left the office, a smile appeared on her face, her dimples showing.
She was thinking about how she could confirm that the Charlie Wade on the application form was the Charlie Wade she was
looking for.
Maria thought to herself, “The best way to confirm would be to hear Charlie’s voice, I still remember it. As soon as he speaks, I’ll
recognize him.”
However, she was hesitant to call him herself, as he might recognize her voice. She considered calling and not speaking, but
that seemed strange. Furthermore, if Charlie thought about it, he might suspect something was off.
After thinking, she decided that it would be best to find someone else to call Charlie, and come up with a reasonable excuse for
the call, so that Charlie wouldn’t suspect anything.
Maria hurried downstairs, and in the motorcade, she found the housekeeper of the Cole family who had picked her up at the
airport.
The housekeeper had been helping Larry take care of his manor in Aurous Hill.
Larry’s wife had grown up in Aurous Hill and had a deep affection for the place, so she specially selected a housekeeper from
the Malaysian team for the job.
Maria had seen the face of the housekeeper and knew she was a loyal and honest person.
So, she approached her and said, “Sister Michelle, can you do me a favor?”
Sister Michelle was a middle-aged woman in her fifties. She had been working for the Cole family for a while and was single.
It was said that her family had faced turmoil in Southeast Asia and almost died in a foreign land, but Larry had brought them to
Malaysia and gave them a stable life and work. Therefore, Sister Michelle and her family were very grateful to the Cole family,
and her younger sister was also working for the family now.
Seeing that Maria asked for her help, the housekeeper said respectfully, “Miss Clark, if you have anything to do, just tell me!”
Maria asked, “You should have a local mobile phone number in Aurous Hill, right?”
Sister Michelle hurriedly said, “I have a local Aurous Hill SIM card and a Malaysian SIM card in my mobile phone.”

Maria nodded and said, “That’s great. Can you use the Aurous Hill number to make a call for me and after the call is connected,
tell the person that you’re about to go out and ask him to drop some documents at the property center. He’ll probably tell you that
you’ve dialed the wrong number, just say sorry and hang up.”
She then took out her mobile phone and said to Maria, “Miss Clark, give me the number.”
Maria took the phone and entered Charlie’s phone number, then returned the phone to Sister Michelle.
Sister Michelle took the phone and pressed the dial button.
After hearing two notification tones, Charlie’s voice came from the phone, “Hello...”
Hearing Charlie’s voice, Maria’s eyes instantly lit up, she was sure that the Charlie who saved her life in Northern Europe was on
the other end of the phone.
Charlie, on the other end of the phone, had just bought some aromatherapy to celebrate the housewarming of his aunt’s new
home.
He chose high-end aromatherapy as gifts, as it was something women like. He didn’t think much of the call from a local stranger
and answered it with his usual habits.
