Maria agreed to meet her, and Larry was ecstatic.
He quickly told her, “They are expected to arrive in just twenty minutes.
You can come down once they arrive.”
Maria smiled and reminded him, “Remember, when they are here, I have a new identity to maintain in front of them.”
Larry confidently responded, “Of course, I won’t forget.
Don’t worry, Miss.”
He then stood up and said, “I’ll let you continue your tea.
I don’t want to disturb you.”
Maria suggested, “Get a servant to assist you, so you don’t get exhausted.”
Larry gratefully said, “Thank you for your kindness, Miss.
I’m okay, it’s easy for me to go down.”
Maria, noticing his determination, simply nodded and said, “Alright then, you go ahead and I’ll come down when the car arrives.”
Larry replied, “Very well, Miss.
I’ll take my leave.”
With that, he respectfully placed his hands together, gave a slight bow to Maria, and backed out of the room.
Maria was not one for socializing, and if Larry happened to have a granddaughter visiting today, she would not agree to join,
even if Larry came to personally invite her.
In her view, mingling with strangers not only increased the risk of being discovered but also served no purpose.
She would rather sit in the shade and listen to the cicadas sing than participated in small talk at a dinner table with strangers.
However, when she learned that Larry’s granddaughter was interviewing for a lecture position at the university, her thoughts
immediately became more active

Maria still didn’t know how long she will be staying in Aurous Hill, but one thing she was sure of was that she liked the city.
She liked the city that was so closely tied to her, she also liked Larry’s home, and liked the feeling of being suddenly drawn to
someone in her heart, even though they were not near.
This complex emotion was new to her.
She felt at peace and calm, yet there was a sense of anticipation and a nervousness that made her heart beat faster and her
pulse quicken, and she could not determine the cause.
As far as Maria was concerned, as long as there was no threat in Aurous Hill, she could live there indefinitely.
Furthermore, since coming to Aurous Hill, everything had gone smoothly for her.
She had met Claudia, Charlie’s wife and mother-in-law one after another, and these events had surpassed her expectations.
Thus, Maria, who was typically reserved and quiet, was now eagerly looking forward to starting college.
And today, she had met Larry’s granddaughter.
It seemed that fate was helping her to quickly settle into Aurous Hill, which had piqued her interest in getting to know her.
Twenty minutes passed, and Maria heard the sound of an engine and tires on the road.
Zilian Villa was located at a high elevation, and the engine noise could only mean that the vehicle was driving up the mountain.
So, she finished the tea in her cup and headed to the other courtyard.
Meanwhile, Angela had just arrived at the main entrance of Zilian Villa by car.
She was surprised to find that Larry owned such a grand villa in this remote location.
While many wealthy individuals in Hong Kong had built luxurious mansions on mountains, none of them owned an entire
mountain.
The villas on Veranda Road paled in comparison to this secluded and prestigious villa.
The car entered the villa and parked outside the grand gate of the main building on the first floor.

The villa featured a spacious porch, it was capable of accommodating three cars parked side by side, resembling a hotel.
