With the copper mine now completely collapsed into ruins, the personal safety of nearly a thousand employees and their families
had become the biggest concern.
Officials immediately tried to contact the person in charge of the mine, but to no avail.
They were nervous and had blocked the news, beginning an emergency excavation of the collapsed site in an attempt to find
any clues of the victims.
Meanwhile, Victor Stone was in Naples, trying to get in touch with Zyron in Cyprus.
As per the plan he had made with Jarvis, he arranged a top-secret mission for Zyron over the phone, asking him to send
someone to Rome.
Jarvis was also waiting to hear back from Zyron to check if there were any issues with him or the other Cavalry Guards before
starting his own tasks.
Victor was like a referee with a starting gun in his hand, waiting to give the order for everyone to run.
However, the strange thing was that his dedicated line for contacting Zyron with a single line, which was available 24 hours a
day, could no longer be connected.
This had never happened in the past twenty years, and it immediately made Victor nervous.
He tried calling Jarvis, but his phone was also unreachable.
An ominous premonition began to grow within him, and he realized the gravity of the situation.
Unfortunately, due to the special structural framework of the Warriors Den, he had no other subordinates in Cyprus who he could
directly contact apart from Zyron and the commissioner.
Given the situation, the best course of action was to send someone to Cyprus to gather information.
The most suitable candidate for the task would be a special envoy from the copper smelter in Turkey, given the proximity of the
two locations.
It would not take long for a helicopter to fly there.
However, Jarvis was one of the Four Marshals, and Stone had lost contact with the entire Dead Man Station.
This was considered a major change within the Warriors Den, and Victor did not want to make any assumptions.
Instead, he quickly got up and headed to his secret room.
This room was designed to isolate external sounds and shield all wireless signals.
In this room, there is only one internet phone connected to the network cable which is the only way to communicate with the
outside world.
If someone installs bugs and other equipment here, the electromagnetic shielding here is enough to ensure that the other party
cannot receive any signals.
Victor arrived at the secret room and immediately picked up the internet phone to dial an encrypted number.
Soon, a deep voice processed by a voice changer, belonging to the Lord, answered, “What happened? You used the dedicated
line to contact me.”
Inside the Warriors Den, the five major governors had a dedicated line for direct contact.
This line had the highest level of confidentiality and the highest priority.
It was almost equivalent to triggering the air defense alarm within the Warriors Den.
Using this line meant that there was a major and urgent incident.
As per the Lord’s request, no governor should use this line to contact him unless absolutely necessary.
In fact, the special line of the governors was only activated twice in a few years, but Victor had used it twice recently.
The first time Victor had used the special line was when the Cavalry Guards who were sent to secretly arrest Maria had
disappeared.
He had reported the situation to the Lord using the line.
Now, he had lost contact with the Cyprus Mine, and was extremely nervous.
Wiping his cold sweat, he spoke anxiously into the phone, “Lord... Master Jarvis... He...”
The Lord’s voice was cold as he interrupted, “What’s wrong with him?”
Victor swallowed hard, his mouth dry.
Finally, he managed to say, “Lord... Master Jarvis... I lost contact with him...”
