She looked at Jeremy quietly with her chin on her palm. "Hey there, handsome.

Jeremy snapped out of his surprise and instinctively glanced upstairs to check
that Sophia and Adam had not come down yet. He relaxed a little when he saw
no signs of them.
He turned back to Corinne and said quickly, "Now's not the time to joke around
like that. Take Benjamin and leave before Sophia's father finds out you're here.
Hurry!
Corinne smiled. "What are you afraid of?"
Jeremy became a little anxious when he saw her not taking him seriously." I'm
being serious!" "I know. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." “Yeah, right! She
wouldn't be sitting here if she knew what she was doing!" thought Jeremy.
While Corinne and Jeremy were talking, Benjamin-who came down with Corinne-
and Bryan-who was sitting next to Jeremy-looked at each other.

It was the first time that Bryan and Benjamin saw each other face to face. They

them?"

Jeremy frowned. "Do you want them to see you and your kid? I won't be able to
protect you if anything happens! So please leave now."
