The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Christopher shook his head with a faint smile and slowly sat down in front of Lance. "Dad, we're both in the business world, so
we know that empty promises and verbal promises are meaningless. As long as I become CEO, I guarantee that all the current
troubles will be taken care of."
Lance's eyes darkened. He asked, "Does that include Asher?"
Christopher's expression remained unchanged. “Our Iverson family has been targeted repeatedly, and Asher is certainly behind
this. Even if you don't speak up, I won't just sit back and let the Thompson family walk all over us."
"Oh?" Lance gave him a suspicious look and asked, "Isn't Bella the woman you insisted on marrying? Asher is her brother, right?
Can you really bring yourself to take action against him?"
Christopher helplessly shrugged and replied, "I can't help it. I've always been one to keep business matters separate from
personal ones."
"Good, you truly know how to separate personal matters from business!" Lance expressed his approval.
Having received a satisfactory answer, Lance rested his large hand on Christopher's shoulder and pressed down firmly.
"Christopher, Dad is getting old, and your older brother is too incompetent. The future of the Iverson family depends on you!"
"Thank you for your trust. I won't let you down." Christopher paused for a moment, then his tone suddenly turned serious.
"Dad, I hope you can keep our conversation today a secret from James. The fewer people who know about our plan, the greater
the chances of success."
Three days later, there was a board meeting held at the Iverson Group.
With Lance's enthusiastic support, Christopher emerged victorious, with almost everyone backing him. He finally defeated James
and became the new CEO of the Iverson Group.
Simultaneously, the official website of Iverson Group announced the appointment, which was confirmed by various media outlets
through press releases. The Iverson Group had indeed experienced a change in leadership.
Christopher had finally obtained what he wanted. According to the Iverson Group's tradition, there was supposed to be a grand
welcome ceremony for the newly elected CEO. However, considering all the controversy surrounding the el. company and even

some fatal incidents, it would not have been wise to throw a huge celebration amidst all this chaos. So, everything was kept low-
key.
However, Christopher did not mind. He had already obtained the position he desired. Now that he held significant power in his
hands, he could command and control the Iverson Group as he wished.
The more power Christopher had, the easier it would be for him to complete the tasks given by his master, the mystery man.
Though a public celebration was not possible, Taylor arranged a grand and luxurious event in secret at Pivotage, no less
extravagant than the coronation of a new king.
"Congratulations, Mr. Iverson! You're finally the rightful CEO of Iverson Group!" Taylor was so excited that he could hardly speak
coherently.
"This title doesn't sound too pleasing yet. When I'm the chairman, then I'll consider my mission accomplished. That's when I'll be
truly satisfied."
Christopher squinted with joy, suddenly tilting his hand and pouring the auction grade wine worth millions of dollars as if it were
water.
The man, groveling at his feet like a dog, lifted his head and opened his mouth wide to catch the falling wine. Even though Taylor
choked and turned red, he still forced himself to appear excited and joyful.
Christopher was an expert at harming and toying with people. At Pivotage, everyone except him was merely a stray dog.
"That old fool Lance is utterly useless, just an empty figurehead of a chairman. You have the final say in all the major and minor
matters, don't you?"

Taylor was elated. "Oh, by the way, sir, upon hearing of your promotion, the boss specially sent someone from Meridan to deliver
an exquisite piece of antique.”
