"Ax, Roza has hardly touched her food because she is too busy serving you. Do you treat your wife this 'well'?”
Bella ate the shrimp Justin had peeled for her, her beautiful eyes wide open. "I am warning you; if you do not treat Roza well, I
will introduce her to Drew, Declan, and Ralph! Let us see if you can still eat after that."
Axel choked in fear, almost dropping his bowl.
Roza blushed, quickly patting his back and handing him her water cup. "Master, please don't joke about me."
"Roza... Cough, cough, I'm sorry." Axel hurriedly piled meat onto Roza's plate, his face turning red on the verge of tears. "It is my
first time being in a relationship. Please don't be angry at me for not taking good care of you. Give me some time... I will learn,
no, I will learn quickly!"
Roza shyly pressed her lips together, and her delicate fingers, skilled in sewing countless garments, lightly poked his chest.
"There's no rush. We have a long life ahead of us."
Bella and Justin exchanged smiles.
Despite their diverse talents and personalities, the Thompson siblings had one thing in common. They were all hopeless
romantics.
After dinner, they got down to business.
Roza said seriously, "Master, guess who visited my studio today?"
"Who?"
"James Iverson's wife, Coral."
The young couple was equally surprised and spoke in unison, "What did she want?"
"She came to order an evening gown for a banquet. “ Roza frowned, still shaken.
"That is not the surprising part. You cannot imagine her exaggerated reaction. Because I told her she needed an appointment
and I could not provide ready-made clothes, she cried and knelt down, just to get me to make a dress for her."
Bella widened her eyes, as if hearing a fantastic tale.
Axel propped his hand under his chin, looking at his woman with admiration. "Roza, even the matron of the Iverson family bows
before you. You are amazing. I love you so much."
Axel's comment completely derailed the serious topic. Roza wanted to roll her eyes but held back. The formidable prosecutor in
court seemed to have no relation to his true self at home.
"Hmph, the Iverson family's reputation is worth nothing," Justin said with a cold, disdainful tone. "No wonder James rarely
appears in public with his wife. What man would cherish a woman who degrades herself over a dress?"
Bella shook her head, her eyes darkening. "Things are not as simple as they seem. Coral may not be from a prestigious family,
but she is well-educated and comes from a high-ranking official's family. Normally, she would take great care to maintain her
dignity. She would not humble herself like this over a dress. Could it be that someone is threatening her or forcing her?"
"Master, you always hit the nail on the head." Roza took a deep breath to calm herself, but when she looked up again, her eyes
were still filled with angry red veins. "Coral fainted while trying on the dress in the fitting room. I went in to check and found her
covered in injuries. There were bruises from beatings, cigarette burns, and whip marks. Some were fresh, just starting to scab
over."
The room fell into a shocked silence.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang.
Bella's eyes were blazing as she slammed the table. She even startled Justin, who was used to her temper. He was nervous.
"James... That monster! That despicable animal deserves to die!"
Bella was never one to tolerate injustice and found domestic violence utterly unforgivable.
