“Really?! That’s great! You’re such a brilliant doctor, Mister Wolf!” Angus burst out laughing.
Both Yuri and Raphael were excited as well and started grinning from ear to ear.
Afterward, Angus took out his checkbook and wrote a cheque for 130 million.
“Mister Wolf, we can never repay you for what you’ve done for Roanne. Consider this my gesture of gratitude. Please accept it,”
Angus said sincerely as he handed the cheque to Leon.
“That won’t be necessary, Mister Thompson! Thank you for the gesture, but I’m not a professional doctor and don’t accept
payment, so please keep the cheque!” Leon rejected it without even looking at the cheque.
“No way! You did so much to save Roanne and even used up an extremely rare piece of Ganoderma! I can’t let you do that
without getting something in return!” Angus said.
“It’s fine. Really! These are my own rules! If you want to thank me, just help me out when I’m in need in the future,” Leon
insisted.
A thousand–year–old Ganoderma was rare, but he obtained it for free from the Dragon Corps, so he did not suffer any loss.
Leon always thought that acts of kindness had their way of going around. He never accepted payment for treating people, and
since he had more money than he needed at the moment, he would never break his own rule over money.
“Oh okay, then.” Seeing how determined Leon was, Angus could only give up.
He felt guilty because he was prejudiced against Leon, thinking that he wanted to be in favor of the Thompsons for monetary
benefits. Yet, Leon refused to accept any payment for saving his daughter. He realized that Leon was a man with a strong sense
of responsibility and virtue, and he misunderstood Leon.
“You’re such a virtuous man, Mister Wolf! Don’t worry, if you need help with anything, just say the word and I’ll get it done for
you!” Angus promised earnestly.
“You’re too kind, Mister Thompson. It’s not that big of a deal,” Leon smiled.

Suddenly, an idea formed in Raphael’s mind and he suggested, “Mister Wolf, you mentioned that you need help with marketing
the sales drive of your company, right? Since my uncle has offered it, why don’t you for their help?”
“Oh, I almost forgot about that!” Leon was reminded about the marketing of his alchemical pills.
