May and Caitlyn nodded vigorously. Both women looked worried, but they would
not disobey

Sean.

“The deal is done. We're even.”

Sean said and prepared to leave while the mercenary led Jimmy back to the
abandoned textile factory building.

Just then, Jane upstairs shouted, “Do it!”

All of the mercenaries instantly appeared behind the windows with their
crossbows positioned on the windowsills, pointing at Sean, Caitlyn, and May, and
pulled the trigger!

The next moment, swooshing sounds could be heard all over the place, and bolts
made of steel were shot at Sean, Caitlyn, and May.

There were ten to fifteen mercenaries. Crossbows could not fire continuously, so
there were ten to fifteen crossbow bolts in one strike.

You must not underestimate this number. After all, a single bolt was enough to kill
a man, let alone so many bolts fired together.

Caitlyn and May both screamed with fear.

Sean immediately yelled, “Run! I'll cover you!”

Caitlyn and May turned and ran, staggering toward the entrance of the
abandoned textile factory.

ground. Besides, she was also old.

dagger.
