The Guardian's Sword

The centurion, lan's face instantly darkened once he said this. Even so, he did
nothing to Lionel, Solomon, and Nathan.

"Sir..." The city defense soldier was so angry that he could not help wanting to
rush into the prison immediately and teach these three so-called rich heirs a
lesson.

lan said, "Don't argue with them. They're scoundrels and scumbags. We city
defense soldiers aren't scum like them! We must observe discipline and not
violate it."

"You're right, Sir..." The city defense soldier took a deep breath and lowered his
head.

He was angry, but he knew lan was right. He must not violate military discipline
by hitting a prisoner no matter how angry he was.

However, footsteps suddenly came nearer at that time. Besides that, the lights in
the underground cell lit up one by one.

It was none other than Sean who came to the prison.

Sean led the way with Zander at his side, and several city defense soldiers
trailed behind them.

Seeing the arrival of Sean and the others, lan quickly stepped forward with the
city defense soldier beside him and raised his hands to salute.

Sean nodded slightly and planned to walk by when he suddenly noticed the spit
on lan's armor.

"What's that?" Sean asked, pointing to the spit on lan's armor.

lan snapped to attention and reported, "Commander-in-chief, Lionel, Solomon,
and Nathan refused to submit to custody, made a scene in the prison, and tried
to bribe us. When we didn't accept the bribe, they swore at us, threatened our
family, and spat at me..."

Sean smiled as he heard lan's report.

"I see. Got it. Open the cell door and let the three of them out," Sean said quietly.
"Commander-in-chief?" The city defense soldier asked as he was confused.

He found it hard to believe that Sean would let Lionel, Solomon, and Nathan go
free when they refused to submit to custody, tried to bribe them, and made
threats.

It was too much!

Although only a small city defense soldier, he could not accept it!

"Just shut up and follow the commander-in-chief's orders!" lan was also angry,
but he chose to follow Sean's orders and opened the cell door.

Lionel, Solomon, and Nathan then walked out of their cell in triumph.

Stretching their arms, kicking and flexing their muscles, they taunted and even
insulted lan and the city defense soldier.

"Weren't you very proud just now? Go on with your swagger!"

"Is the city defense army all that? But didn’t you just let me out anyway?"

"Haha, don't think this is over. We'll make you regret it when we get out! You can
hide in the city defense army's main camp, but your families can't! I have ways to
go after them!"

Lionel, Solomon, and Nathan's words not only made the city defense soldier and
lan furious, but several city defense soldiers behind Sean and Zander also grew
livid with anger.

Sean suddenly laughed and asked, "Did you record it?"

"Yes!" Zander nodded, pulled out a voice recording pen, and shook it.
