Lilith's expression instantly turned aghast when she heard that.

She was now a sales consultant for Sean and Zander. If she closed the deal, she
would make a handsome commission after selling the car.

It was the equivalent of several months’ wages, so she took it seriously.
However, Mr. Ferguson asked her to show other cars to Sean and Zander and
give the latest and most expensive Maserati supreme deluxe model to Matteo,
the heir of the Rocco family.

This way, Mr. Ferguson would have completed the deal. He not only pleased the
heir of the Rocco family but would also get the huge commission for himself.
Thus, Mr. Ferguson would have stolen Lilith's commission. How could Lilith not
be mad?

"Mr. Ferguson, isn't that inappropriate? These two gentlemen decided to buy the
car first, and I'm about to help them go through the procedure!"

Lilith braced herself and said to Mr. Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson's face instantly darkened when Lilith resisted his orders.

"Lilith, who are you, and who am I? How dare you speak to me like that? Believe
it or not, I'm firing you!"

Mr. Ferguson yelled without hesitation. Saliva came out of his mouth and almost
landed on Lilith's face.

Lilith's expression became more aghast after hearing that.

"Mr. Ferguson, this is against the rules."

"Rules? I make the rules. Can't I change them?"

Mr. Ferguson sneered.

Then Mr. Ferguson patted Lilith on the shoulder and said to her earnestly," My
dear Lilith, you've been in our company for two years, and your performance has
been pretty good. I have good faith in you. To be honest, I was going to promote
you to assistant manager, but I'm dissatisfied with your current performance.
You're a senior. Don't you know the rules of the workplace? Lilith, you must have
a long-term vision. Don't limit yourself to immediate petty profits.”

Lilith was furious.

“Promote me to assistant manager?"

It was not the first time Mr. Ferguson had said this to her, but he had never acted
on it, so he had been giving her empty promises all along.

Lilith had already seen through Mr. Ferguson.

Besides, her commission was at stake, so she did not back down.

"Mr. Ferguson, these two gentlemen wanted the car first either way. If you insist
on selling this car to another customer, I will have to report it to the general
manager."

Mr. Ferguson instantly exploded in rage when he heard the term "general
manager".

Mr. Ferguson was the sales manager, and the general manager was his superior.
Lilith was using the general manager to pressure him. He was upset, of course.
"Lilith! You've gone too far! I'll fire you now. I..."

Mr. Ferguson angrily reached for his phone as if he intended to notify the human
resources department to fire Lilith, but Lilith did not seem the least bit afraid.
