Chapter 2282

Curtis walked into the Lake family's manor with five heavyset men at night.
"Dad, they're here."

Curtis said to Kennedy, who was sitting in the living room.

Kennedy was sitting just as Curtis did when he left. It was as if time had stopped
passing on this man.

Kennedy slowly opened his eyes, looked at the group of five, and asked faintly,
"Are you okay?"

These five were the five strongest people in Lake Security Services, but they
were all currently in bandages, looking miserable.

"I'm fine. These minor injuries don't require us to stay at the hospital. Just let
them heal slowly!"

"Yes, Optimus Security Services' staff are strong, but they didn't go all the way.
We only suffered minor injuries. They're no big deal!"

"Old Master Lake, you called us here late at night. Is there something you want
us to do?"

Everyone spoke up, but Carter was the only one who kept quiet.

He glared at the other four people. His eyes seemed to say they were all fine
except him.

He had an old grudge against Daniel, so he suffered the worst injuries.

He did not want to come at first, but thinking that this might be their first
assignment after joining Lake Security Services, he endured the pain in his
stomach and hands and came to the Lake family's manor.

"Yeah, all that matters is that you're alright.”

Kennedy nodded slightly before adding, "I need you to do something tonight!"
Half an hour later, five bandaged figures left the Lake family's manor.

Kennedy and Curtis stood in the courtyard, looking silently in the direction of the
five men leaving for a long time. After a while, Curtis frowned and said, "Dad,
Theodore, Michael, and Jadon are famous in Ocean City after all. If we do this,
will..."

"Since they've chosen to go against the Lake family, they should be prepared to
do whatever it takes, shouldn't they?"

Kennedy said faintly, looking up at the sky full of stars.

Carter and the rest sped away after leaving the Lake family's manor.

Carter, who was alone, yelled.

After receiving Kennedy's assignment, they split up.

Weakened by his injuries, Carter was sent outside Optimus Security Services by
four other men to monitor Optimus Security Services.

Of all the people at Lake Security Services, he was only slightly weaker than
Maxwell, yet he was now doing what a loser would do.

It made the proud Carter furious.

Soon, Carter was only around the corner from Optimus Security Services.
Enduring the pain, he gingerly headed toward Optimus Security Services.
When he entered Optimus Security Services, he did not encounter any
obstacles, set off any alarms, or even see anyone.

"Isn't Optimus Security Services too arrogant? Did they let down their guard so
much because their members are strong?

Carter muttered to himself and found a hidden comer to hide.

one of Optimus Security Services’ offices.

Those eyes had been watching him from the moment he approached the
Optimus Security Services building.
