Chapter 2284

"Huff... Huff...”

Carter's face reddened. He could only gasp when he tried to breathe.

He moved his limbs wildly, desperately trying to free himself from Sean's hands,
but they would not budge.

This extreme fear was far greater than the fear Daniel had given him at
Greenview Hotel.

Carter slowly gave up struggling and looked at Sean with pleading eyes as if he
wanted Sean to spare his life.

Sean smiled and let go.

Plop...

"Huff... Huff..."

Carter fell to the ground, gasping for air as if he wanted to suck in all the air.
"Next, I'll ask the questions, and you'll answer them."

He heard Sean's indifferent voice.

Carter dared not hesitate. He hurriedly nodded and said,” Mr. Lennon, ask away.
I'll tell you anything I know!"

He dared not disobey the man before him.

If it were a few seconds later, he would have suffocated from lack of oxygen.
"Did Kennedy send you?"

Sean asked.

Carter replied without hesitation, "Yes, the rest and I were at the hospital, but
Kennedy suddenly called us all to the Lake family's manor.

"Then, he gave us a mission to take Lake Security Services’ men to attack the
Carver family, the Quartz family, and the Davis family!"

Sean frowned slightly at this.

Although Maxwell and his gang were vulnerable in front of Daniel and his men,
Maxwell and his gang were rare experts in Ocean City.

It was unknown how many men Lake Security Services had gathered, but their
night raid on the Carver family, the Davis family, and the Quartz family was likely
to cause great trouble for all three families.

"Which family did they go to first?"

Sean asked. Although Zander had taken Daniel and the others to the three
families, no one knew which one Maxwell and the others would attack first.

If Carter could tell him which family they were heading to, Zander and the rest
could head there immediately and provide help.

"Well... I don't know..."

Carter glanced cautiously at Sean. When he saw Sean's face turn hostile, he
quickly added, "After I left the Lake family's manor, they sent me here to monitor
Optimus Security Services!

"Mr. Lennon, I'm not lying. I really don't know which family they'll attack first!"
Probably due to fear, Carter's tears began to flow as he spoke.

His current miserable appearance was nothing like the haughty figure who
debuted at Greenview Hotel earlier.

"Call and ask."

Sean's voice remained indifferent, but his face grew darker.

Carter did not hesitate. He pulled out his phone and called Maxwell.
Unfortunately, Maxwell did not answer the call.

"Mr. Lennon..."

As soon as Carter tried to explain, he felt a terrifying force dragging him toward
Optimus Security Services.

Sean grabbed Carter by the collar with one hand and dragged him into the
Optimus Security Services building like he was a piece of trash.

Optimus Security Services’ basement had several prison celllike rooms made of
steel with thickness the size of an adult's arm.

Once locked into these prison cells, it was impossible to escape unless you had
a key.

Carter's eyes looked more terrified than ever when he saw the prison cell around
him.

"Mr. Lennon! What are you trying to do?

"I really don't know! I've told you everything I know!

"Please spare me!"

Carter screamed at the top of his lungs, begging for mercy.
